I personally like to leave my horses mane long and flowing. lol But thats just my opinion. My horse rubbed her hair off in a cattle feeder though. So i might pull her mane short. I really dont want to though.
Pull it first. Then band. Then trim after to get it all even. Then use thinning shears a bit. Looks professional and it wins you first place at the shows. Usually I cut my horse's mane to about 2 inches for western banding.
@Squidward171 You make it sound like it would create a health problem for the horse. YOU CAN IF YOU WANT TO, you really need to back off though. I don't think she'd post a video and not know what she's doing.
she just said it was going to be properly trimmed afterwards. god, learn to listen and learn that we don't use text language on the fucking computor... or ever for that matter.
only use them if your horses mane is so thin you cant pull it

@brennamelnyk Show horses have to have shorter manes. It depends on the breed. I ALWAYS cut my quarter horses manes.

xRockstaarx 3 years ago
u pull a horses main with a main puller. it just makes it look more natural then with sissors, but i guess if u prefer sissors u can us them.
ponyybearr 3 years ago
@xRockstaarx you pull a mane not trim it. you litterally pull out the horses hair to make it shorter
