@sk8pn well sure, in large numbers like army vs army. but in this "situation" (and if it were army vs. army for these two warriors), it should have at the very least been much closer in numbers. these testers take a lot of these weapons at face value and don't fully test all they are capable of. because, if it were based on military strength of each side, the chinese would have won in that period, hands down. but, again, as individual warriors, it should have at least been much closer.

@metalhead4985 If you are talking about Asia like China and Japan then Rajput were not Asian they were Indian. And the samuria lost to the spartan. The only other Asian that won as Shoulin monks but other than that the Asians mostly lose in season 2. Hopefully if they put Genghis Khan in season 3 then he might have better mongol weapons to fight up against and then maybe he might but I'm have a 63% guess that he might loss to a more advance soldier.

i think that people have to realize that the out comes are not based on army vs. army, but it is based on a one on one prediction. Also it has to do with probability, Personally, I think the Ming have the better advantage if you put a legion on people against a group of two hundred. Also when it comes to their swordsmanship/martial arts ability on a one one basis (excluding firearms), it's the Ming all the way.

In short: Gladiators are the least murderous of fighters, and weren't warriors.

Pirate vs Musketeer is my favorite suggestion of your, I thought of that a couple hours ago. Musket vs Blunderbuss, but it would be weird seeing grenade on grenade and wheel lock pistol vs wheel lock pistol.

Jesse James vs the Mafia, I'd have to say Jesse James; as proven in his fight against Al Capone, Firepower isn't all it takes. Besides, James' guns have much greater range than the Tommygun or Sawn-Off Shotgun.

I think that the fight probably would come down to Wallace's Claymore against Vlad's sword. Sorry, I can't remember the name...

@MrGodTube You raise a good point; Atilla would probably be a great opponent for Vlad; psycho against psycho. However, Vlad had a Handcannon; he doesn't qualify as an Ancient Warrior and as such he won't see Atilla on the battlefield.

And I'd have to agree there; here's how it'd go; the Zande Kpinga against Tomahawk, Boto Bow against Apache Bow, Knife vs Makraka and War Club vs Makrigga. The Zande would lose the edge with his bow, but his other three weapons, KICK ASS.

@fongdaihap The Rapier was not meant to take a direct hit; it was made to parry the thick and heavy English swords (like how he parried the dao we saw in the match) and deliver a killing blow while the enemy is wondering "How in the hell is this piece of steel holding off my attack?!" Or, if not a killing blow with Rapier, lead up with a stab from the Main Gauche to the face, neck, heart, or guts.

This part of the show is just a reenactment of what possibly would happen if the 2 ever faced off, and if you are putting the Rapier up against the Dao by itself the Dao would possibly have won but it didn't cause of the combo the Rapier had with the Main Gauche. With that 2 blades is better than 1. Well with thing about the show hating Asain is wrong cause had plenty of asian win there battles. For exmple: "Samurai vs Viking" (Samurai Won) "Shaolin Monk vs Māori Warrior" (Shaolin Monk Won).

So in the category of sword i think the rapier qualifies majorly, also the rapier can easily get through ribs and hit major muscles and organs, so you're more than welcome to get "poked" by a rapier and see how it feels.

And even if they did why did the first ming swordsman didn't immediately go for a kill when the flintlock pistol misfired and why didn't the second ming warrior not use his high ground to his advantage.
