At&t's coverage sucks....Verizon is way over priced...while Sprint is awesome and way more affordable. Plus you get free roaming on Verizon's network. And they have a flip phone called the lg lotus!
@liliceman78 Do note when this was posted. I've found a phone that really fits the bill for my needs as someone who has mild CP & low vision - The Just5 Phone.
Now here's the thing with flip/twist/slide phones that I have issues with.
Somebody could be really careless and easily snap the screen off. It doesn't take much force to break it. I even aCcidentally did it to the HTC Dream. I had to walk out of the store because somebody saw it sitting in two pieces!
the env touch is so good because its so customizable and user friendly its just such a good deal, i think that the env touch is only twent dollars more on contract if you should want to i have a env touch review... the review not that great though
Now that you mention it another one of my cousins has an EN V 3 and I liked it a lot personally. It's a pretty good phone if you carry it in your pocket like I do. I liked the feel of i'ts keyboard a lot, but I think I'm going with either Verizons Touch Pro, or the Black Berry tour.
My list now contains the following phones: enV3 (Blue), envTouch, and Alias 2. I compared the 3 and discovered, figures wise, that the enV 3 has the best battery life for the lowest price. I'm not sure if you've actually seen the enV 3? If so what do u think?
Videos to watch that will explain everything: "My experience when I was blind", "How Well Can I See?" and "No Glasses = How Much Vision?" Suffice it to say I'm visually challenged, and have mild cereberal palsy. I will tell you up front that you don't have to feel sorry for me, as i can very easily live my life, just like anyone else.
Hey man my cousin has this samsung phone and I liked it quite a bit it's really cool, and it even has some ov the abilities of the voiager has of reading letter by letter.
the LG lotus...thats the one verizon should be trying to get on board...the one in black seems unisex enough unlike the cleo which is looking strictly female based
Here's my beef with texting. Text messages use the same type system as instant messaging (the SMS system). Instant messaging has been FREE for years, yet cell providers charge a premium for texting. It's rediculous because texts take the LEAST cellular bandwidth of any mobile task.
Yeah - I've been reading a great deal about it. I don't think the courts, nor the telecoms, nor the FCC will force the telecoms to change ANYTHING; because, the telecoms are SO tied in with the government that you could ALMOST say the entire U.S phone network is owned by the government. Let an individual try to start a phone company (land-based, or cellular). Even if they had the money - they can't do it.

No, it's the lighting. I'm awake.

One more thing: you can't call 911 from a voice-disabled phone.
Also, don't be stupid to let texting interfere with any aspect of your life.
Also texting while driving, walking, biking is stupid, stand still, stop that bike and park/pull that car over!
TheOriginalRootbrian 2 years ago
I agree on the no texting while driving/biking bit.
rml695 2 years ago
If you have a data plan you can use relay. The relay service can connect you with 911. Slow, but better than nothing.

Think about it, these phones ARE NOT meant to be durable. Don't think or assume they'd survive 6 drops, cause they'll suffer and sustain damage.
I wouldn't care if the phone was geared towards women, I would still buy it, take it to a shop and have it MADE for males :D

Was this an actual working model or a dummy this happened to?
rml695 2 years ago
It was a working model.
Did it to a similar-looking dummy "twist-flip" phone in telus by mistake.
Such a shock, none of those are durable.

nokia n 97 is flip qwerty i think
steve1690101 2 years ago
The N97 is a slider QWERTY device. Also it's MONSTER expensive. You could get an HP tablet notebook PC for as much as they're asking for the N97.

Oh sorry I forgot to mention the phone he had. It was the Alias 2 a pretty cool phone even though of its different flip feature.
