@prince87x no, it's called keeping it fresh. The main reason why I like Jem so much is because she likes to genre bend. I wouldn't call it alienating the fan base, rather providing the fanbase with variety.

Avenged Sevenfold, they changed and I did actually like their new stuff. Linkin Park, old stuff great. New stuff.. very very strange and different. Anyway changing your style can be good but sometimes it's far too radical of a change.

@prince87x You can't keep making the same album, but at the same time, it doesn't matter how drastic the change is. What's more important is if the soul of the initial artistry still remains. Protest the Hero for instance got better per album because they keep challenging their writing style. Alexisonfire started off great until they kicked out their original drummer who was more akin to unique time signatures. Too many factors come into play.

I disagree. She's well inspired, I wouldn't be surprised at how perfected her lyrics are, did it come to mind that she may just be talented... And multi talented at that, she took a law degree, they really broke the mould when they made Jem I think, if every women were like her; every man would be in heaven.
