Hey, I don't think the princesses look mean... they look dark and mysterious... which is HOT.
Although I do agree with the gameplay. I don't know how games like this can get published... maybe for the younger kids, but even then there are much better choices that teach different things (memory, dexterity, logic) while this just seems to be the same thing over and over.
Still, I hope this was a learning experience for the designer. We can only hope he makes something better in the future!
So, if you get this game as a gift, either burn it or give it to your worst enemy?
And don't hesitate to do negative reviews. Board games are expensive, and it is important to separate the quality games from those just seeking to part people from their hard-earned money.
I think another porblen is that when some playtesters discover a failure, the designer has already invested so much time and he is so in love with his creation... so he decides left the game as is for himself.
I hope some day Tom can review that and tells me the true about my "babies"....
i'm with @minitzonthesun, a lot of fun seeing seeing you talk about games you dislike... ñ_ñ
This was a very entertaining review. I love seeing you talk about games you dislike almost as much as when you talk about the ones you do like. always interesting.
Time after time, watching your reviews i wonder why game designers dont spend more resources testing their prototypes before production. You would imagine that they would, but then when huge flaws show up in a game, you start to wonder.
They probably have games tested by biased family members and friends who are afraid to tell someone their game needs help.
Tom, If i ever design a game, Ill send you a prototype copy for review before publising so I can get that TRUELY honest Vasel opinion.
like this if you think the board looks like large intestine lol

I'm going to make a rulebook for a game.
The font will be all-cap'd, bold, italicized, and underlined.
The font will be black.
The background will be black.
Everything must be black!
...Oh! And I'll have clip art that covers some of the text. :D

"I don't know how games like this can get published..."
It was self published by the designer, that is how.
I'm working on a pdf rule update.

I play tested the game once, and Al, the designer is a friend of mine. I'd like to address:
"Time after time, watching your reviews i wonder why game designers dont spend more..."
- We never saw written rules.
- My game group (which playtested) are brutal on everyone. It is still up to the designer what he wants.
- Al did this for fun.
I think your criticsim, pariticularly about the instructions are very fair. I have, and will again, urge a PDF update of the rules.
Thanks,
Van
