We are using Hiwatts, the marshalls are the stage gear set up for FOGHAT who we opened for.

We use an SG for the whole show, but as you can see this is 'my generation', and we don't smash sg's., we use a different guitar when we smash.

Proper equipment for Pete could be any guitar from a Strat, Rickenbacker, SG, Les Paul, Gretsch and any amp from Fender, Sunn, Hiwatt, Marshall, Vox, etc... I don't think there is a "definitive" proper setup, just depends on the era.
