What's wrong with the name Jisbon? I think it's cute. All ships have fan names, it makes it easier for fans to reference and talk about their ship. What else are we suppose to call them? Also, Jisbon have way more that 18 fans, I don't know anyone who watches the show that doesn't ship them! Lol! Ly x

@MoiKitty23 Might I suggest using Jane/Lisbon or PJ/TL? Fandom has survived decades without resorting to portmanteaus. The actors don't support the idea of a Jane and Teresa romantic relationship, but it's the name itself they're reacting to negatively.

I recently saw an interview with Simon Baker in which he stated that his character was probably ready to give a romantic relationship a shot... which shocked me, seeing as I'm not a shipper. But do you have any source where I can see any recent statements by them about not wanting a romance? :) That would be awesome.

I'm new to the whole Fandom thing, and I used the term because everyone else did and i didn't know if having a different term would lead to people not understanding who it was but now i think i'll just stick with Jello or J/L. Watching all of their faces on this just makes me laugh, it goes from slightly worried to OMG very quickly.

@loveduffdeppanddisne Honestly is sounds like the dried remains of a sex act, and is one of the more unpleasant parts of Mentalist fandom for many people. I'm not sure who came up with the portmanteau, but I don't understand how anyone thought it sounded appealing.

@MoiKitty23 Might I suggest using Jane/Lisbon or PJ/TL? Fandom has survived decades without resorting to portmanteaus. The actors don't support the idea of a Jane and Teresa romantic relationship, but it's the name itself they're reacting to negatively.

@wiccagirl24 I so agree with you on everything you said. That shipper name is horrible, even as someone who once supported the couple I felt embarassed when I heard about their reaction. I prefer calling them J/L anyway but "Jisbon" seems to popular in the fandom now it won't ever vanish.
