"A short animated piece about the wonders of stereoscopic 3D in cinemas." When I read "in cinemas" I think in movie theaters. What movie theaters have stereoscopic 3d movies?
@LoneThread I thought stereoscopic 3d was accomplished through glasses with electronically alternating lenses that produce the 3D effect, like Nvidia 3d vision. I saw Avatar in 3D in a movie theater and I think the 3d effects were garbage compared to something like Nividia 3d vision. I think the Avatar I watched used polarized glasses. I will rephrase what I asked before. What movie theaters use stereoscopic glasses for 3D? Or are you the one living under a rock? This video was great!
@hdgamevideos1 Both methods are stereoscopic 3D! Both methods send 2 separate images to the appropriate eye. I use nVidia 3D Vision (Driver only) with a Zalman Trimon 22" Polarized screen. In my case, RealD glasses from the cinema work as well as the ones provided with the screen. I suggest you go read up on Wikipedia/etc.
@LoneThread I am not familiar with polarized monitors, however I assume they are inferior to a 120hz 3D Vision ready monitor. For example I don't think you can play Nvidia 3D Vision ready games the way they are meant to be played with a polarized monitor. Then again I could be wrong. I still stand by what I said before. Avatar in 3D was trash compared to watching a video or playing a game with Nvidia 3d vision. Maybe I need to see a newer 3d movie to see if the technology got better.
@hdgamevideos1 Ghosting-wise, my Zalman is much better than all but two 120Hz 3D Vision monitors (Planer and the new 27" Acer) this is using the Ghosting test on the 3D Vision Blog. You are really ignorant. I see exactly the same 3D effect as anyone using a 120Hz 3D Vision monitor. I use the same driver and therefor it outputs *and I see* the same left and right images (Stereoscopic) as anyone else using nVidia 3D Vision. I simply get less Ghosting than most people.
great peice, kind of feel it should have ended at 1:10 with some text advertising 3D, i would have then hit home exactly what you were advertising/explaining

@hdgamevideos1 Are you for real? Almost every cinema now plays Stereoscopic 3D movies. Have you been living under a rock for the past 3 years?
