  • please post more Kraftwerk from Minimum Maximum... they took most off.. :(

  • lol wtf looks like a piece of grass blowing in wind ltlslsotl fts lol omg never.,,,, this is going viral!!!!!!!!

  • Unlike most music, I have absolutely no problem picking out the bass part here. I can't tell if this is because 1. At the soundboard, the bass line is mixed as one of the louder parts in the band or 2. Tina is sexy as hell, and happens to be playing bass.

  • @bluescarlet11 #1 Most of their songs are built around a bass line and a catch, so the bass line is always prominent in the mix. They were all visual artists first; they made songs like paintings. The bass line and the catch were like a sketch, and then layers were painted over it. You can hear this in the evolution of versions of songs. #2 Yeah, she is.

  • suena a beat it

  • they're not even playing their instruments

  • @jonpaulmoen Yes they are...

  • @jonpaulmoen Of course they are. Smokin' that crack again Jon?

  • This ain't no concert. This ain't no stageshow.

This just a lot of running a round !

Some creepy jeepy, all sweat and weepy

Just jumping up and around !

  • What a KICKIN' baseline!

  • PROTIP: Memorize the jogging patterns in order to defeat this formidable multistage boss!

  • This song is going on my Apocolypse mix tape along with Miami 2017 by Billy Joel. If I'm lucky enough to survive a pandemic, zombies, roaming gangs of brigands, or the U.S. military, these songs and many more will be on my personal "End of the World" musical compilation.

  • @EmeraldTriangle80

  • 1: 40 - new favourite move for da ladiez. ;)

  • @KatherineJaneYoung3 lol, nice

  • @KatherineJaneYoung3 hahaha thats awesome.

  • No words enough to say how much important the Talking Heads were (and still are). Seen lots of Byrne solo concerts, and let me tell you, they were as superb as this one surely was.

  • fabolous song...one of the great songs written by Byrne

  • 67 morons........

  • The people who dislike this are the ones who are also responsible for the puerile predigested pap that passes for pop these days. You know, people with no sense of creativity or imagination who are unable to think for themselves.

  • @Lukiel666 - great illiteration! Plus, I agree with you. You, sir, have my undying admiration!

  • One of the few bands who have more fun than audience.

  • this is so awesome. I have no idea why i didnt listen to them in highschool!!

    oh yeah, motley crue ...fail

  • i was there . thamks .. i still love rthem

  • why, WHY isn't there a "Love" button?

  • That Byrne character is one odd duck as apparent in these "white man shouldn't dance" displays. On a more positive note I wish to acknowledge his fine contributions to the rock music catalogs.

  • Stunning dance moves!!

  • tremendous

  • The show is almost as good as the song

  • Just full of yay!

  • David is beyond his time- RELAX and enjoy because what happens to Geniuses like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • its a sad thought but i think nothing will ever be as cool as this again

  • what an awesome performance

  • i need a time machine! Good music started after WWII and just seemed to end in the early 90's...wheres the creativity nowadays?? If it weren't for Lady Gaga we'd have nothing today!!

  • This is amazing. God do you miss good music too?

  • @TBey88 i believe he really does.

  • LOL fuck Wii Fit just dance like that!

  • this ain't no mudclub, no CBGB's. I ain't got time for that now.

  • can I hire those black girls for my next birthday party

  • One of the most underrated songs ever.

  • I love what David Byrne is doing with his body, floating around like a wave is running throughout his body. That is so much fun to do and it looks so mezmirising when it's being done... almost hypnotic!

  • what a horrible tyrant david byrne is - he ain't no david bowie or bryan ferry - he should stick to the enos of this world ..........but what a fantastic song - and my favourite drum roll ever.............

  • because bill gates is rarely spanish, soon all backback will be in reverse.

  • Nice example of what's missing from music these days: talented, creative musicians with artistic vision. I've literally seen 1000's of bands in concert, from Elvis Presley to Nine Inch Nails, but I'm sad that I never had the chance to see the Heads. Fucking awesome.

  • hands down, best moves ever

  • hands down my favorite talking heads song. great video!

  • didnt mean to hit like button

  • maybe the greatest live performance music video ever. unbe-f'in-lievable!!

  • This ain't no party, this ain't no disco, this ain't no foolin around.....

  • Nothing makes sense! And that's awesome!

  • Does anybody have any questions?

  • I was in elementry school when my mother used to drive me to school we would listen to this everyday. now 2011 I am rediscovering this awesome record now. The best part of this is the songs have some meaning to it today

  • Talking Heads are 50 years ahead of out time. Gawd I love this band!!!!!

  • @purpleporcupine59 im on another planet when i watch this.........................f@c@in brilliant mr byrne is

  • someone previously referred to David Byrne as a brilliant nerd. I agree he's brilliant but more of a trip-head than a nerd. Love it.

  • rebuttal

  • This is precisely why more people need to hear Talking Heads. Absolutely brilliant.

  • This is like some sort of awesome jazzercise session in heaven.

  • That is one cool ass nerd.... David Byrnes makes me smile when I watch him perform.... I was born in late 89' so I never got a chance to hear them growing up. I won't lie, I've only started to listen to them just recently, And i'm better for it. Their music brighting my day every time I hear it now, I love finding "new" Bands from before my time.

  • @SgtM37slayer Always look to your past for music treasures. I did so when I was young, and have never regreted it. Always keep and open mind too. :-)

  • @SgtM37slayer And I_'m sure that, if you keep finding them, you will be in an enlightning journey that will compensate you every second you spend.

  • who the fuck dislikes this?

seriously i want to fucking know?

    who the fuck are you?

  • @EmptyCanofDrPepperJr May the fleas of a million camels infest their armpits.

  • @EmptyCanofDrPepperJr not I ...

    seriously

    i dunno

    really ...

  • @EmptyCanofDrPepperJr why y mad bro?

  • @mowinckel10 just cus ...

  • @EmptyCanofDrPepperJr that would be me, 68th dislike

  • @EmptyCanofDrPepperJr I was about to dislike it, because I think the music sucks, but then I watched him dancing. He is an excellent front man.

  • @EmptyCanofDrPepperJr Humm... I guess that all it takes is for you to visit today's clubs and discos... There you will find lots of those suckers.

  • UNREAL. I caught this movie at home in NYC at the 57th Playhouse and people were dancing in the theater. Only in NYC baby.

  • 2:18 - 2:54 is the only thing I wanna be doing in my life

  • Talking Heads were so ahead of their time

  • What other band's lead singer runs around the g-d stage after being so physically involved in the song???? Only David Byrne!

  • This ain't no party, this ain't no disco.

  • 58 people are fooling around

  • he's a character....bizarre man that david is...lol

  • There are times when I wonder if David Byrne has any bones in his body.

  • I love David Byrne

  • who are the all the black people playing with them?

  • I could totally dance like that. I need to learn that little arm flappy routine!

  • How much coke does it take to become one of the greatest stage dancers ever?

    about .7 grams

  • david byrne never did drugs

    yeah right

  • David Byrne never did drugs, its kind of his trademark.

  • @FullmoonPB yes I'm sure on the Sand in The Vaseline album he talks of his dislike of drugs how they made him paranoid and such I can't remember properly but I am quite sure it's true

    patsxskip

  • dammmmm this is a great band, literary one of the most creative ever, not just the 80's

  • qué bueeeeeeena!!!

  • 56 people suck dick.

  • guitar player at 5:15! AWESOME!

  • OH YEAH!!

  • this performance don't make sense, indeed.

  • @tiantxu the song is about going "off grid" so to speak. Hiding out.

  • This ain't no party, this ain't no disco, this ain't no foolin' around. No time for dancin' or lovey dovey, I ain't got time for that now.

  • Am I the only one who has a "thing" for the Bass player?

  • No xD

im with you,i love that bassist

  • heeeeelllllllllllllllll noo. I would give my right nut to be with tina back then. A hot chick that plays a mean bass for one of the most innovative bands ever. Does it get any better? nope

  • no you're not the only one

  • love the energy.

  • Love the song, great for a live perf. Gotta say it: dancing at the beginning is slightly reminisent of Peewee Herman - except David Byrne makes it look good. Wish I could move like that!

  • Those who haven't seen "Stop Making Sense" yet, should. This is just one of many great songs and performances by David and Co.

  • pretty slick especially for live. heard this first in 7th grade. One of my go-to songs. Too bad my speakers and my headphones don't let me play this as loud as it should be played.

  • Wow. This is fabulous. I'm getting the DVD first thing Monday.

  • what a trip that concert would have been!

  • i've heard several times before that the song is about the CIA, and the lyrics seem to fit that interpretation...just throwing it out there
