i love GPL290s. they are the best engine for a stock. if i were you, i would buy a walbro wt-688 carb, since its a chung yang engine. also, get the low profile airfilter if your looking to keep it stock. the airfilter will improve performance, yet still keep that muffled sound, unlife the hollow sound of a high performance airfilter.
is that when they had the g230 on them

it sounds like a piston rod bearing is bad
