Sad about Admiral Cradock. He was a brave man and quite an efficient sailor. He wrote an excellent book called "Whispers from the Fleet" -- worthy to be read even today for its abstruse yet educational technical details (at least for laymen or non-naval people) and entertaining anecdotes Unfortunately, his ships were just not of the same caliber as Von Spee's.

@rangerbobcat It's Castles of Steel, by Robert K. Massie. And yes, it's the best book on naval warfare in WWI that exists.
