  • To strengthen straight from the fridge.

Short to long hair: 1-2 "egg whites" & conditioner. Cheaper and it works.

  • that shampoo i actually $1 at BigLots too.

  • Check out dreadcap.com also go to youtube and see dread cap review. Jazz your dread up. Thank you and pass it on. Love your video 2.

  • wonderful videooooooo!!!!!!!!!

  • yea its smooth

  • Tracy, I thought we shouldn't use conditioner on our locs?

  • @SankofaProductions OH NO! We need to conditioner our hair regardless! To keep it healthy and moisturized. You just have to research and make-sure the product doesn't leave a build-up.

  • what technique do you use to twist your locs?

  • @s1ms07 Palm roll, or simply just twist the roots.

  • never had to go to anyone.. takes a little concentration and research :-)

  • You have the most beautiful locs I've ever seen! They look healthy and lovely. I am planning to loc up too, and want my locs to be healthy and small so that I can have fun with them. Did you start your locs from braids...braidlocs? Thank you. Be blessed.

  • DIVAAAAAAAAAAA... I know that's right but it's nothing like being pampered by your stylist BUT TRUST AND BELIEVE that I understand that money can and is an issue for some. Continue to post!!!

  • Could you share how you started your locks and were they the size of micro-twist/braids when you started. Also I just noticed you cut them, why may i ask. Your sister in Christ

  • My trick is to find a chick that like me that can do hair and get her to do it for free...

  • That should be easy to find...lol!

  • Ha HA! You're awesome!!

  • You gotta shop around better for these budget items. That bottle of shampoo can be bought for a dollar at a dollar store.

  • you totally surprised me with the Suave...i usually do the once a month wash, but I work in a smokey casino, so sometimes I have to step it up a bit. And actually i have used the suave with the coconut scent once, but I didnt want to keep using it bc it didnt come from the "ethnic hair" section lol! Very nice vid tho.

  • YO LOCKS ARE BEAUTIFUL....i think i want mine like yours i couldnt live with HUGE locks.

  • very interesting video

  • How much is too much twisting? I need to wash my hair every 4 days and I condition as well as do hot oil treatments, then twist after I wash. Do you know how much is too much twisting?

  • I am a natural hair stylist. You only need to do it once every 3 weeks or once a month. If you do it more than that, you could twist your locs right off!

  • Been growing my locs since January 2002...in all this time, I have never been to salon. I am the only one who cares for my hair (aside from my man). I've always used Organic Roots locing gel. For daily care, I use Almond Oil and carriot oil. Great site, keep up the good work.

  • Your spirit is so warming, you made me laugh several times. I like how you just tell it like it is. Just a real person, thanks for this vid.

  • Your skin and hair look great!

    Continued blessings.....

  • hey i just started my dreads in july and i have been getting them twisted every month and i use all the mango and lime products from the shampoo to the conditioner the oil and the locking wax cream and gel i was wondering your opinion about those products

  • I have three words for your question: EXCELLENT EXCELLENT PRODUCTS! Mango & Lime is actually the very same products I started loc-ing my hair with. I love everything you named here. Keep using them until your hair grows into the mature stage. As your hair go through various stages, you will begin to see you may need to make some adjustments. For instance my hair got thicker, so I had to find a gel that would hold it tightly at the roots when I re-twisted it. Thanks for watching, & bless u!

  • How long was your locs when u started them?(inches) They r really cute on u.

  • I had to cut alot of relaxer out of my hair when I started them-I had a half of inch on my head-just barely enough to start twisting. I was determined to get the beautiful results I have here today-thank you for watching and for the compliment:)

  • nice

  • I started my own locs with the palm roll method. Been locing for 2 and 1/2 months so far.

  • i only spray olive oil in my lockz

    no other products

  • That's a great product to use, I just started my locs.I can't wait untill they grow longer.

  • I just love your video I need more info is there a video II. What do you twist your locs with and how often do you twist? What do you moisterize your scalp and hair with?

  • Your locks look very healthy. This is my 2nd wk in locking my hair. I'm looking forward to the length.. God Bless..

  • if your hair is beautilful,of course u must had or looking after ya scalp, tut tut

  • great video....you kno your locs rock sis! Blessings! :)

  • Wow, that davidew4321 really don't know what he's talking about! Poor man...LOL!

Your hair is BEAUTIFUL sis, keep up these video's! It's good to educate black women about this, next to the spiritual aspects.

  • there's nothing worse than a loud mouth black woman...natural hair or not

  • Thank you! Proud to be black, natural, and loud for JESUS!

  • So that means you hate yo' mama?! For a black man to hate a black woman-that means he hates himself-MR IGNORANT DAVIDEW4321-Ignorance is the downfall of people just like yourself, so therefore GROW UP!

  • forget david you know there's always one amongst us who doesn't know how to behave themselves

I love your video! How did you start your locs? Sorry if you've answered that already.

  • Your locks are beautiful.
