Nova shafted you. They have never been particularly nice to deal with, even when I was there in 2003. I work for a smaller school in Tokyo now. Try other schools, not the big ones, like Shanes, Kohgakusha co ltd, etc. Or at least tell your students to come for you for private lessons. I wish you all the best, and if you come to tokyo, drinks are on me. :)
