i admire all the awesome bikes you make! you must love your life! im in college for engineering and questioning why i am here when all i want to do it ride bikes!!
I know it is slow on the video, I had just built the engine and the cam was not worn in, it hauls balls now, but this was just a running in ride, but I hear ya man, check my other video thats 100 MPH.
@carpy1 people are not used to breaking in motorcycles anymore...you hop on a new bike and do whatever you want with it, manufacturers keep this in mind when building new stuff by adding bigger marges on the clearances and if shit breaks you don't restore you buy new parts..sad part of the consumption society...
Old stuff being revisioned like this needs time and love and patience to break in...
Cool!!! the only thing I have left from my CB750 racer from the 70's is the motor&carbs, gauges, front half of a smashed Hooker header and my prized Mullholland(spl?)shocks
im starting to build mine ive got the motor all crome now ive just got a parts bike from az for 200.00 bucks that i needed too make me a little further along
its a 63 slimline with a unit 750 5 speed are you going with a pre unit? From what i`ve seen of your work it will be beautiful.you should take your talent and do a couple resto`s of 60`s bonnevilles probably better resale value compared to the hondas.
I am gonna go for a Pre-Unit like my dad ran in 1959 at the Ace Cafe in London. Thunderbird gearbox, Stage 3 heads and Dunstall magaphones probably.
I only stick with my Honda's as I always blew my triumphs up as a Motorcycle Courier in London and the old inline fours go on for ever, so, dressed them in the guise of a cafe and they are a real fun ride in my view, thats what makes us all different.
where'd you get the seat? id marry that bike if i could

Great looking bike, Carpy.
Thanks for the gas cap and the latch. They really look a hell of a lot better on my bike than the crap that was on it.
Can't wait to have enough dough for you to build me one.
