@Feelinirie619 I'm not sure I agree. Fast switching was the best way to torture noobs. From Disney's perspective, noobs are new potential clients.

However, I DO agree that they need to fix their fix. Pressing ESC should not preclude the next weapon from being drawn AT ALL - the next weapon should wait for the action to complete then correctly become armed.

why do they delete glitches

@dhyanpp They don't want to admit they were there intentionally, in the first place. They think having the glitches makes them look worse, then changing the glitches to allow fewer people access to them.

Plus, it's easier to destroy someone else's handiwork, than to do real work like rescaling the damage tables or releasing the Kraken.

I thing is amazing how Disney brake so important things for stuff as harmless as this as u see a couple of days ago they tried to fix the super jump glitch so when they did that there attempt to fix it failed but then every one was lvl zero because of that then they put the game a week back in time to fix it by deleting memory this caused people to loose weapons friends go down a lvl and loose gold how sad is that:(

@artglassunltd Nope. F12 mode is disabled now, when in black-screen mode after the first cutscene. Why? Can't even imagine. The *BUG* in the game is still there, forcing hundreds of people to get stuck there every day - now instead of a fun glitch while stuck, they get a black screen (which can be toggled to "more black.")

Sometime in the last month or two, they changed the F12 behavior. You can't do this at all anymore, not even by accident.

The last time I did do it, it was clear that my session was disconnected, but it was letting me continue playing with the F12 mode, exploring around. I apologize that this is probably the only surviving video of it.

They have changed the behavior of F12 now. So this is no longer possible. (Amazing that they'd break so many other things, to disable something as harmless as this. Oh well.)

For the record, I never did find a consistent way to do it. If server connection was lost during the curscene, it didn't recover correctly, instead leaving you stranded on glitch pearl island. I THINK that's why it timed out on me after an hour.

This particular thing seems to be incredibly rare now. Since the "connection to the servers has been lost" for the entire time in this glitch, it isn't "useful" nor "productive" but is nice to look around...

Eeeeek! Well, I'm not at all sure that "fixed" is an accurate description. When you get black-screen in the boss battle now, F12 no longer works...how that can be called an improvement is beyond me. The fundamental problem has not been corrected - if the connection is lost during any of the transitions, the game still does not recover correctly.

For example, the goliath cutscene now invariably has one or more crew members "flying" while all the masts are invisible. WTG. nice fix. :-(

In 2 of the Disney videos they have on their web page, people can be seen in the BP glitch - that is, driving the Black Pearl on the high seas (e.g. Windward Passage) and shooting at EITC ships. Just like the original PVP glitch was done by PVPing someone while in PVP, you used to be able to start a boss battle invite while in a boss battle. When you finished, you'd be right by Devil's Anvil, sailing the Black Pearl...

If you view any of my videos, you'll see a long description on the right hand side when you click "(more)" - with as much explanation about the video as I can fit. Note that there has been a flurry of updates on open (and completely new stuff on test) that each change the boss battle slightly. Just last night, I ended up on black pearl island accidentally, but only for about 60 seconds. Sometimes this glitch just happens by itself.

When a boss battle starts, after the cutscene, sometimes you are stuck on a "black screen." When this happens, press F12 to see what you are doing.

If you read the original video description (click "more" at top right) you'd know that...

Cool. But in this video, I had been in the glitch for about a half hour, not a few seconds. The more I think about it, the more I think it is caused by someone's computer being overwhelmed - just not enough memory to run the game with the full boss battle.

Note that I couldn't get into that jail...normal entrance doesn't work. Can't grab the beach cannons anymore, either.

I haven't narrowed it down. Seems to be related to the chat window "fading out" as the boss battle starts, but more likely is caused by someone else's computer (in the crew) running out of memory. Can't reproduce this at will - which is WHY I recorded the video of it...

hey edward i LOVE pirates online i have some videos myself but im having a little problem i used hypercam 2 and well the screen is small watch 1 of my videos its weird can u tell me how to get it into normal mode? cuz it has to be something with pirates cuz on 1 of my videos the screen is normal the when i go to pirates it goes small can u help me?

Sorry, I don't use hypercam at all.

However, make SURE you are not playing in full-screen mode when you record video. I recommend 800x600 for recording, unless you have over 700 GB free hard drive space (if so, then use higher resolutions if your graphics card can handle it during game play.)

As mentioned, the video lag is an artifact of the recording. But yes, the game lags enormously, compared to a year ago. I've lost count of how many level 40 Edward Edgemenaces there are. (Not all are fully mastered though.)
