  • killer song

  • Hellion is like if Scorpions were posessed by demons. very nice.

  • I don't think Dio was too involved with this band. He scored Rough Cutt a deal and took them on tour but I have never heard of any connection between he and Hellion until seeing it written on a youtube page.

  • @AngryAgain Ronie James Dio produced Hellion and Hellion opened for Dio too

  • @AngryAgain my dad used to sell e-shirts for dio and hang out with him after the shows he said that Ronnie was n the middle of producing an album for hellion until something happened with Wendy and Wendy fired Ann from Hellion ... nothing made any sense and it sounded like Ronnie himself didn;t know what happened

  • great

  • ok can anyone tell me who are the twin guitarists? i thought chet thompson was the main man who are those guys? their awesome anyways especially the one who looks like chet but can anyone tell me who the hell they are???????? plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • the one guy who looks like the guy from mercyful fate is ray shank

  • probably ray shank and alan barlam

  • This is the original line-up of Hellion, before Chet Thompson. The guitarists are Ray Schank and Alan Barlam.

  • Oh my gosh.... Sean seeing u playing the

drums is taking a trip down memory lane.

    Awesome.....

    Rene' H

  • Great song from the EP! Reminds me a little of the Scorpions' 'The Zoo' and 'China White'.

  • The lyrics to this song are killer. Kind of a cross between Iron Man and old Rush.

  • pure killer!

  • Unless my memory is grossly failing me (it may be) but I think it was just Anne doing Gillan. It was the longest song on their set and was one of those tunes that took you to another realm, esp. if you had a few drinks in ya. BTW, you sound like you're pretty knowledgeable about the early 80s LA metal scene. I wish I could recall all the bands I saw in H'wood from 81-89. I was still in HS when I first went to the Starwood and Gazzarri's. Heck, I was buying drinks @ the bars when I was 16/17 y/o.

  • I saw Hellion many times @ Doug Weston's Troubador back in the day ('82-'83). Anne Boleyn was pretty HOT back then... nice, curly 80s hair and tight pants. I always grabbed a seat at the front table by the stage whenever they came on. Ya, they actually had tables @ the Troubadour back then - that was where I caught Betsy B!tch after she slipped on her stilletos during one of their gigs. Anne played a mean organ w/ Hellion too... "Hammond" organ when they played Deep Purple covers, that is...

  • This video has to be from those same years.

  • Likely so. BTW... one of the DP tunes they played was "Child In Time". It's hard for me to tell if there's a organ on stage but I wonder if they played that song at this Country Club gig, which I didn't go to.

  • Do you remember which Hellion member sang "Sweet Child In Time?"

  • whatever happened to the guitarist?

  • THE LEAD GUITARIST SMOKES.

  • and I forgot that Ann Boleyn used to have short hair

  • Her hair has been a lot shorter than even in this video. I read that before Hellion she was very much into punk. During the 1990s around the Black Book, she had very extreme undercut with the top long. That looked great. But, I heard she cut all her hair off after that but never saw any videos of her playing shows like that.

  • It looks like she had a perm here. From looking at the pictures on the album covers it looks like she cut off the permed hair and started using hair extensions. She changes her hair all the time. It is no secret she has extensions a lot of the time.

  • Does anybody have any pictures or videos of Ann With shorter hair than this?

  • I forgot how good the drummer was.

  • I know that Ann Boleyn is singing in a new band, but does anybody know what the rest of the band is doing?

  • probably nothing or you would have heard

the hellion members were always good at promoting

  • Does anyone have the lyrics for this song? it's one of my favorites too :).

    can't find it anywhere.

    thanks

  • Molton see of metal Skys of burning fire Armadegon's remnants Devestations mire They warned us all not long ago But noone seemed to care Now cities ruined, towns destroys Silence everywhere Cast down through a fisure in the earth A child growns within the depths He's learned to survive Now there's vengence in his eyes As he plots to break up from the depths
  • (Verse 2) Entities...they roam the earth There's no one left alive All mankind lost at such a cost With no way to survive The child has learned from past mistakes He's waiting down below Under the ground the saviour waits Where deamons fear to go He waits with a vengence oh so right He waits deep within the depths He's master of his art Going to give it all he's got As he plots to break up from the depths
  • (Dueling Guitar Solos) (Ray Schenck) (Alan Barlam)

    Reaching through molten lava

    To great the altered land

Silent evil entities rush on to take a stand

He takes his axe of tempered steel

    Oh how well its used

He breaks the evil silence with a sound so proud and true

(Dueling Guitar solos) (Alan Barlam)(Ray Schenck)

  • (Verse 4)

He greats the world by power

By his will and his guitar

    Destroying evil not by bombs

    But music, words, and thought

    He's just begun adventure

In the world that hate has left

He's vowed to guard his principles

When he came UP FROM THE DEPTHS

  • I posted lyrics.

  • Thanks a lot for posting the lyrics :)

  • Damn, I think I was at this show?

Does anyone remember the band REX HAVOK?

    Nice drum solo.

    Ass Kickin' stuff!

  • The singer sings like dio.

  • Great stuff - Still rate this as one of my favourite rock songs of all time.

  • The singer's voice on the screams makes the hair on my arms stand on end. Probably the best female metal singer of all times.

  • Damn!! Thanks for posting this vid. I was at this show. It was the country club in Reseda, ca. I have pictures of the show and glad there is video. Sure brings back memories back in 84.

  • If I pull my pants up that high I can hit those notes too!

  • I know it is hard to see the musician's clearly, but the singer is a girl. And the video is from the 1980s when these clothes were in style. Just look at old Scorpions or Metallica pictures.

  • Early Hellion reminds me a lot of early Scorpions with Ann Boleyn doing the roll of Klaus, with Ronnie James Dio thrown in. This song is killer.

  • Good comment. I agree.

  • Excellent video.
