@progdrummermark I would have to disagree. That's putting jazz drummers in a box and limiting them only to that style. Maybe a jazz drummer doesn't NEED the endurance, or the endurance is displaced elsewhere. The thing that makes someone a jazz drummer is listening and practicing, and same thing applies to a metal drummer. Leaving all genres aside, a musician that listens to and practice one genre is able to do the same to another. It's a matter of focus and interest.
