  • The Korean lyric is more enriched in vocabs and the meaning is also more powerful.

If they used tis as lyric in The Boys Eng. Ver, I bet it'dbe more huge than right now.

  • so this songs for the boys huh?><

  • they shouldve use these lyric it wouldve gave message to ppl but anywho im just fan.

  • I love, love, love the lyrics. Thank you for translating, Soshified. Being a committed Christian, I've always loved how positive and uplifting SNSD's lyrics have been... starting with Gee and now with The Boys. I believe us women, our greatest weapon is our sexiness ;) <3 We can use it to encourage our men. We can use it to bring them down. You have struck the right balance in showing me how to use it to lift them up. Thank you, SNSD! And thank you, Soshified.

  • Cool

  • now I like more the korean version!!!

  • It's so odd for a girl group to sing to boys! This is what I love about K-Pop :)

I'd love to hear them try an English version of this!

  • @FashionistoIRE

They actually did do an English version of this but.....as you can see half the comments are about-the lyrics are really bad compared to the Korean version :x

  • Like the Translation.

What is this mean to me is Girls' Generation are guiding boys that are weak well this video i think is related to dangerous boys . XD

  • @VanillaSHIDAE Instead of weak, maybe someone who have low confidence.

SNSD said this song is not only for boys but also girls~lol

  • tHE beST Videos.. :)

  • they have japanese version

  • what does the line "We Bring The Boys Out" have to do with ANY other english lyrics in here?

  • Comment removed

  • Now that's what I call LYRICS :D

  • Why only 60k view -.-

  • WoW 59,999 views! one more to go! AND THAT would be me! *Refresh*

  • it's a lot more meaningful when you read the lyrics and now I know why they are sometimes dressed like officers

  • snsd korean version <3

  • WOW I love this version even more now (: after hearing the really meaningful lyrics, this song really deserves to be number 1, and so does SOSHI!!!

  • the song makes perfect sense now. what happened to the English version!? lol

  • Not being a hater or anything but had they of just translated this and switched up the lyrics a bit to match the flow of the song this could've been a HUGE hit ... considering it does talk about boys and girls confidence but it also seems like a gay pride song for whatever reason the whole come out part just makes me think of gay people and them being true to themselves ... and the rest flows with everyone else being confident in themselves to lead the world and be FABULOUS!

  • I'm saving this song in my handphone, both english and korean version, but...after I read the lyric translated of korean version, I decided to delete the english version. lol.

the english version sound so 'cheap' now O_O

  • how many times will i comment on this song?(^.^) fu fu fu WHO CARES THIS SONG IS SO POWERFUL!!!

  • superman's fotress heheheheheheheh

  • I just LOVE it....^__^

    Speechless...

  • I love how this song matches their new show so well I'm loving this song and I'm loving their new show as well. SNSD continue doing what you do I feel so pumped since I see myself in the same situation as those guys and I'm willing to change myself.

  • love this song!!

  • wow it amazing comparing how the lyrics are so different its sad to see how they had to change it. it sad to see that just that the eng version is so not really showing snsd in my opinion

  • the lyrics give me strength! thank you snsd! <3

  • It's like these lyrics have a deep meaning in it but I don't get it. For a moment, I thought The lyrics is about them like " Just like this, keep up. Girls' Generation we don't stop" and "Girls' Generation make you feel the heat, the entire world has their attention on you." Its like the "you" is them, not the boys. While the other lyrics is talking about the "boy". Aiyooo..

  • @Vampire98Knight "you" is the boys...when its "jon segyege uril jumokhae" then its SNSD...

  • @Fanboyizm Indeed. :)

  • I'm viewing this song in a different view after watching the radio show where the pysicologist interpret the song .. i didnt that the rose petals and dove actually hv a meaning behind it the lyrics are just wow ! .. so meaningful .

I'm loving the korean ver. more now :)

  • @daladida97 haha...i came here after i watched that radio show too.....

  • @blainevanity6 OMG. me too. :)) just finished watching that radio show.

  • @daladida97 D: what is it? I wanna watch the radio show D:

  • @emobunnyluvsandy6 Lee Seokhoon's Ten Ten Club Radio show with sooyoung, hyoyeon and seohyun :)

  • @daladida97 what video was that with the psychologist? can u give me the link or the title? :)

  • @21thebestgirl Lee Seokhoon's Ten Ten Club Radio show with sooyoung, hyoyeon and seohyun :)

  • The lyrics for the Korean version is sooooo much better than the English version. I don't get why the English version has to be so freaking shallow.

  • I've tried read the lyrics a million times already but my eyes keep straying back to soshi :3

  • @Stupidpal231 I know! I love her the most, she's so pretty! I don't understand why yoona always seems to get loads of screen time :/ I still like her as well though :)

  • i really want sm to change the english version's lyrics to the translation of this one because well... the english one doesn't really make much sense...

  • Wow. Seeing these translations definitely makes me like the song SO MUCH more! It was really well written.

  • Do they always put hyoyeon at the end?...

  • @damonsalvatore1993 I know right T-T

  • @damonsalvatore1993 And even when its Hyoyeon's turn, they don't really show her on screen =.='

  • @damonsalvatore1993 She's afraid of the camera. Dunno if there is some relation to that.

  • TT~TT The lyrics are so awesome! My favorite part would be 2:48. "Humans tend to live life like war. Why do you already give up? [...] Show your persistence. Shake up the world a little, so everyone can see you. [...] You're the main character."

  • cute... girls generation (snsd) is cute

  • Why are people making a fuss about the English lyrics anyway? Yeah, there are notable differences, but the songs airing on the radio on a daily basis are mainly vulgar and/or nonsensical . . . Compared to that, the English version of "The Boys" is a huge step up.

  • @iChriselle i agree but as international fans we feel that we got the short end of the stick. korean listeners got this really deep and interesting lyrics that really fits into "bringing a boy out" while we can only watch english subs or listen to the english ver. we're just pissy so we make stupid comments

  • @stopableron Haha, yeah, I understand. Then again, I doubt all Korean SONEs understand the English lyrics in the Korean version of "The Boys." So, I guess we all have to make an effort to fully enjoy SNSD's songs. ( =

  • best song by them <3 :D love it

  • the lyrics is very different from the eng version. this is way better i feel satisfied and confident of this song now.

  • Their voice turn better and better its super duper nice!

  • I don't know what the bird Symbolizes. Someone whose willing to tell me, please tell me C:

  • @yongseoSone "bring the boy out" is the key.

  • Comment removed

  • @HikariSenpaiMangaka "The Boys" probably means bring your braveness out and don't be scared ... Girls Generation will help you, they won't stop until you bring yourself out of weak side? Am i right ..I'm so sorry to bother you, I'm a slow person :)

  • @yongseoSone yeah that's right dude. bring the boys out from their cage. XD

  • I am really loving Sunny's new look in this video.

  • Hidden message: Haters should give in to SNSD!!!

  • Thats english songs for u... its hard to find english songs with good lyrics...

  • The lyrics for the Korean version actually makes SENSE~~

  • I love he korean versions lyrics...the english version was just about how hot they where and how they are the best lol. very arrogant. just like the rest of american music.

  • I like how they dont tried hard to match the korean and english lyrics, it would sounds weird if they did it:D

  • I realllllly started loving Sunny with this hair and Yoona too, even though i hate her the most, Hyoyeon is soooo pretty in here :D.

  • Btw, this song is not only encouraging boys but also girls to stand out for themselves. I love it xD

  • I like the english version a lot, but sometimes the lyrics don't make sense (shame on you Teddy Riley...¬¬). And then I listen to this and I'm like WTF, why didn't they use this kind of lyrics on the english version too!?

  • Oh wow I didn't realize the meanings were so different between the Korean and English versions! It's like a completely different song! (a better one). I think they're trying to encourage us guys to have the confidence to ask them out :P hehe seriously though this version seems like it's all about having confidence.

  • >: This makes me hate English and America. Why does sex always have to be the selling point? WHY CAN'T WE BE LIKE KOREA. GOD. *Ahem* Uh, thanks for the upload 8D

  • Korean version is bettttter... the english one just seems so arrogant, snsd is too cute for that.. hahaha

  • @Jetty2609 why you says that?? the girls wanna have the different image in they other MV version (I know the english version lyrics was a bit incoherent)

  • @xztmu923 Omg! lmfaooo this comment just made my fucking day.

  • I do really like this song. their lyrics are very good and have meaning to them. I'm not so crazy about the English version, but I'm not going to say it's bad.

Although I do want to say that the minute long intro was kind of unneeded...or really that dove...if anyone wants to explain what the dove meant, please do tell me because I'm still trying to figure it out myself
