The mechanic or sales rep seemed kind of clueless. He was more concerned about telling you about how the air pressure was more important to keep on eye on then how to break in a new engine.
i used to own a kawasaki klr 250 and it was a good bike. It was fun to drive offroad but not quite powerful enough to drive on the highway. The 650 would have no problem on the highway.
I am going to purchase a 2006 just like the one in the video, and am very excited about it. It will be my first enduro, but the idea of the enduro just makes sense to me, it does it all, and you don't have to baby it like a supersport. These things are suppose to be tough as hell. I can't wait to pick it up!
I really enjoyed the video- I'm 51 and decided to ride again and felt the enduro class was the way to go- liked what I saw of the bmw650xmoto but kawasaki for 3,000 less I think is going to win hands down - I've owned kawasaki before and could'nt have been more pleased with the performance and quality. Have fun and be safe out there and thx again for the well thought out video!
I'm 51 years old also and enjoy the hell out of this bike. So I think it's a good move for you. I keep going off road with this baby. Thank you for the positive compliment, it's nice to see a rating or hear a comment once and while on these videos, it gives me encouragement to do more. Best of luck with your decision.
dude...they should have given you a full gas of tank when you purchase a brand new bike...not only 2 gallons. That ain't right...

Watched it before. Like a kid in a candy store! An experience we should all have at least once.
