Personally Davey sounds better non-screamo.. Like, In the studio you can't tell anythings wrong.. But live, you can practically tell it probably hurts him, and it messes up his vocals.

It's tough screaming when that air just isn't traveling. Perhaps Davey needed some water or just played a huge set, because his screaming has gotten MUCH better! I love AFI though, Pure pros. Despite the small human mistakes they make as a live act, they keep the energy going and make sure that the fans have a good time. Love it, 4/5 on this one. Amazing song, a true classic; just not the best performance.

lol see thats the thing, people get the wrong idea about this "screaming." I've worked with many singers. ok, i dont know exactly how to explain it buttttt....you open up your air ways and sorta "scream" into your "saliva." your saliva coats your esophagus allowing for that "gargle" sound. Screaming like that as well as in other bands is actually very controlled and is something that can take some time to do right without damaging anything. My point being, hes not JUST screaming.

poor guy...this show absolutely blew... the sound was completely crap from the get go. he needs to have a smooth delay and reverb on his voice to bury the flatness and to carry the notes further. i think this would save his voice. he should hire a voice technician. they have stomp box pitch correcters, and he should have an overdrive stomp for the screams, as it will create that screaming sound. maybe hes lazy or doesnt want to spend the money? come on davey, its obvious your having problems now
