That piano part does sound crazy hard at parts, but the xylophone part doesn't seem easy. Speaking as someone who plays both, you both executed this extremely well.
This is a difficult and grossly underrated work & you did it well!
One bit of advice: When you do a major work like this, dress up and be formal, even for a performance class gig. I adds a lot of class to the performance.

I think relaxed is putting it nicely - arrogantly smug would be more like it. But hey, I was a 17 yr old at the time so I knew everything of course.
