If someone did not get the the Joke with the F-35s then should try think harder. I don't care what the Americans say, the Yaks are the best in what they do. The F-35 is nothing more than challenging the Russians to make something better, and repeating the same story with the Harrier.

How can you make a judgment on an airframe you have no hard information on? You don't know the JSF's capabilities, you don't know how it will function in combat. There's even very little record to go on with Yaks! It's a fools argument.

Actually I know very much about the Yaks and their abilities. Records are hard to find but when you live in a post-communist country it becomes effortless. Also analysis of many specialists and experts' opinion (including NATO) concluded that the Yak was better than its Western Counterparts, primarily the Harrier. I don't know the JSF's capabilities but we will see its adversary soon and I can't wait for that.

Dude, these Yaks were so shitty some pilots refused to fly them DURING communist times. If a pilot is deciding "well, I'd rather go to the gulag than fly this piece of shit", I'd say it's a safe bet that it WASN'T better than the Harrier.

Really? Give me a source then, also can you say which part of the Yak sucked, cause this thing has been missed by many analysts. This plane served admirably and unlike the Harrier where many pilots and planes were lost due to design flaws. In fact, many US craft during the cold war were more dangerous to their own pilots, than to the enemy. Especially the F-14 and F-16, the main fighters supposed to take on the Warsaw. And you talk about shitty aircraft, hahahaha.
