  • Where are the bitters ? the brown sugar ? God to publish videos on cocktails LEARN HOW TO MAKE THEM CORRECTLY !!!!! Or leave it to a real cocktail bartender, not a chick in a household kitchen damn it !!Then we real drink mixers get know-it-all people trying to teach us how to do our job !!!

  • i use a few more i make it buy putting sugar and about 5 leaves grind them to a pulp ad some tonic to rince the muddler add more leaves and then continue i saw it on good eats and its my perosnal favorite way btw i kinda abbrivated it

  • Do you not get plenty of bits of mint when u drink it ?

  • Floflyz i agree that this is not the correct way, but i've been working in a couple of different countries and every place has a new way of mixing their drink, for example a danish "White russian" carries NO similarity to the american "White russian"

  • That's fair enough I totally agree with you ! In the mean time there's a pretty similar base isn't there ?

  • Yeah guess i excaturated a little but where the american have different options in liquoer the danish stick to some specific, which aren't very popular in USA

  • @Lassiekid That's very true actually, last time I made a Mai Tai for an American and he didn't like it cuz apparently they do it another way in the US...

  • This looks like the worst Julep ever.

  • That was the wimpiest muddling I've ever seen. No no no. You have to MASH the mint. That's how the oils (a.k.a. FLAVOR) comes out. That girl just dabbed the muddler on the mint. WTF? Come on, please. Mash that mint!

  • There is another on here where they just STIR it! WTF?

  • potpagan - Umm no you are wrong sir, so is this vid so don't feel to bad. Actually yes feel like and idiot you should. The proper way is to gently with the muddler rub the mint all around the tin cup. MASHING it bruises the mint and causes the chlorophyll to seep out which is very bitter tasting. Fill glass with hand crushed ice pour bourbon and simple syrup over the ice.

  • wow @ the names of some of the stuff... a rock glass, a muzzler, a swizzle stick.. wtf is this willy wonka lol

  • shutup you suck

  • Wake up with a bang. I would think Black Russian would be better suited for breakfast drink... coffee and all.

  • I'm more par shall to the White Russian myself, but I'd have to agree with you on the flavor to reason aspect.

  • Black Russians are excellent at breakfast, especially next to a freshly baked croissant, but recently I had a Screwdriver at breakfast and I must admit it wasn't too bad... But I do like the White Russian, both are very classy drinks which taste fantastic alone or next to food...

  • Bigger glass, more alcohol, 10 less mint leaves and leaving the syrup out would make this drink awesome.

  • and more semen.

    yeah, you heard me right

  • Wow, you uneducated fool. That defeats the purpose of the Mint Julep, this is also a classy drink, you don't ruin something this good. So go back to drinking out of the keg at your dumb frat parties, and leave the sophisticated drinks to us serious folk.

  • Woah! Chill out there! I quite like a good Mint Julep and the comment was meant as a joke. Besides, I don't do "frat" parties and I consider myself serious considering I've spent the last SIX years of my life getting my second degree in engineering! No parties, just studying. And I wouldn't call having a Black Russian at breakfast sophisticated...

  • Maybe stupid question but does it have alcohol?

  • yes. bourbon...
