Ronaldo may not make 20 assist a season but he has somewhere near 10 backheel assists that messi or someone else won`t perform ever.The best one is against aston villa when he assisted to Rooney.That is the best assist i have ever seen

great video,however I don't think you selected the best seasons.2005/2006 and 2006/2007 are better examples for his playmaking skill because i think he lost a little bit of his skill with the ball but he turned into a serial scorer

Anyone who thinks Ronaldo is a playmaker doesn't understand football. yes he can notch up several assists each season but that doesn't make him a playmaker. yes he can operate in the false 9 position but a playmaker he aint. @TheKikaniparth i disagree. Messi is so much a team-player, playing in the midfield and going forward as a surprise attacker, which shoots from distance scoring bunches of goals. But Ronaldo, playing as a forward, is leveled to him. Look at Madrid vs. Barça stats: they are pretty similar, but with different styles, Messi as a forward midfielder, and Ronaldo as a perfect striker.

Actually, the recent 5 - 0 in El Clasico prooved i'm right. But i don't like Messi the most. I prefer Neymar,18yo. ;D

@BlariX I know that Messi is good, I also know he's a great player, but deep inside... it tells that Messi is overrated. He takes way too much credit for his goals (most constructed by his teammates) and can't do much outside of Barça. Ronaldo proved himself in two big clubs (the latter one in construction, while Barcelona is a finished product), while Messi has played over 10 years in the same team. Let's not forget that Zidane was a great player in both Juventus and RM. CR7 is better for me.

ill go w/ everybody else here, he's not a playmaker, he's a winger, that doesn't mean he doesnt change the game in an instant??? he scored over 100 goals in just around 5 years, that is great for a winger, something that nobody sees though is his crosses, he has a lot of assists too. i dont kno how many, but it's a significant number. he is the perfect player that messi cant be. also he has a talent for free kicks, which can kick messi's ass....

Playmakers: Xavi, Iniesta, Gerrard, Silva, Mata, etc. This is not the role of CR9 in a team. Playmakers make lots of assists each season. Xavi made 26 assists last seasons, Mesis did 16 assisst last seasos. CR94 made only 8. That is not a playmaker.

He rarely pass the ball to teamates in better shooting position and tends lo lose the ball while performing useless tricks.
