@MRwieduwilt Actually the rev limiter and redline is set below what the engine capable of turning.... the redline and limiter on the mach 1's is set to where the GT's are... the Mach 1's have the 4v cobra engine, the same one that you will find in the 03-04 cobras, except with different cams (not the 2v GT engines you see in that particular body style). Those engines can spin safely up to 6800-6900rpms safely, and are capable of higher horsepower with the stock bottom end
@cbradley49 I've we're trying to correct each other, then it's my turn. No, the engine is not the engine from a 2004 cobra. Mine is an aluminum block, not like the cobra's iron block. I have different cams, heads, bottom end, heads, compression ratios etc. The 2v engines from the 99-04 GTs cannot rotate safely at 7000 rpms, doing that repeatedly would not be good. But you were right about the horsepower capabilities of the stock bottom end.
@MRwieduwilt that was my mistake on the engine, its not the same as the terminators, they have the same engine as the 99/01 cobras but with better flowing heads... the horsepower rating for the machs were 15hp less, but were actually more true to the numbers, unlike the 99/01 cobras... and i wasnt talking about the 2v GTs turning that many rpms, i was talking about the mach 1. but the machs instrument cluster is the same as the bullitt cluster which is the same specs as the GT.

Years ago I had to have my old exhaust cut off so I could install Supertrapps. I had a local muffler shop do the cutting and then I drove the car home with nothing from the cats back. It was a Saturday morning and I had all my neighbors come out to see what the noise was! That little 5 liter sure could make some noise. Thanks for the vid!
This happened on a jeep of mine and I learned the hard way to not drive it with a broken exhaust, all the abs wires were destroyed and the fuel pump and tank level indicator wires lost their rubber, it was lots of fun rewiring all that crap.
