does anyone play football here??? who said you have to be really fast to be a good receiver?? the most important thing is being able to catch the ball, and the fact that he's not even in high school yet?? he has a long time to work on his speed and route running
the clip starting at 5:40 looks like much better competition and you can see he struggles to break away from defenders. he is gonna play against much stronger and faster kids as a freshman on varsity. a schedule including saugus, tesoro, and alemany will sure be alot to handle for the 14 going on 15 year old.
I don't know. Usually when someone has 'it' they are faster and stronger then everyone on the field, especially at this age. If he were faster and stronger then everyone else, then the tackle at :16 would of never of happened. Usually, the best player isn't playing receiver. They are at QB or RB where the best player gets the most touches.
not tryna hate on him, but good hands will only get you so far. you look at most of these guys getting recruited heavy, it's not because they can make amazing one handed catches. it's because their speed, size, route running, etc. im not saying this kid doesn't have these, but he's still in middle school (I know, he's gonna be a frosh this year). when he starts his first game of varsity and starts making plays against guys who are bigger and faster than him, thats when ill buy into him.
@AllThingsExclusive He played in the New Level/BadgerSport national championship against some of the top players in the country. He needs work but he's making plays against some VERY good players.
Been there. My best friend is WADE LEBLANC we both went to Barbe High School together in Lake Charles, LA and he went to college and got drafted to the Padres right after.I have been in the Marines for 8 years now and am getting out soon. I look forward to watching you in the future. If you ever need any advice on anything shoot me an email at mcgmarine@aol.com. If your father would allow it I would like to set up a conference call with you both and Wade so you could ask him anything you'd like
And I know it's not about the money. In college take some Financial Management classes too. And buy all the things that you've ever wanted, because all you hard work in the past to get where you will be, you will have earned it, but manage and save while doing so. And never I mean never forget your ROOTS!!!!! Your family is the most important thing in your life and should be.Take care of your family because they will always be there no matter what.Friends will come and go and girls will to.
Get the college experience before you decide to go to the big leagues brother. You will gain so much more with your future doing so. The smartest professional ball players always went into the game with a PLAN B. Because bad things do happen, all it takes is one torn ACL to end your career and what next. Therefore you wll have a fall back if god forbid something were to happen to you when you get there and you will get there. The last major thing is the money.
I've been watching this kid for a while now and what he has that a lot of future pro athletes do not is a well positioned father. With time and practice he will develope those things that make athletes turn professional. Most importantly himself and his dad need to realize that when he becomes a junior in high school he is going to get hit left and right by alot of different types of scouts whom are going to offer alot of things. Education and experience are the two most important things.
will be interesting to see how well he progresses throughout high school, good luck.

This guy should check out Sportspresstv. com The site is geared to finding players under the radar. He looks good, but they are the experts.
