They're trying to re-enact the whols anti-coercion thing because they agree with it to some extent, and back on the early days of Youtube, there wasn't anything of Alfie Kohn up except one or two rare excerpts (maybe...), which could also be why these guys were trying to get Alfie's explanations online.
What's funny is I watched a couple of minutes of your mock Alfie and I agree with him as well as the real Alfie. Is there some stinging criticism at minute 16? I guess I'll never know.

The guy imitating Kohn, while trying to mock him, ends up portraying Kohn as far more credible than Kohn deserves. Kohn is a dipshit, and any teacher who admires him isn't fit to be around children.
I think you are near making a good critics on Alfie. Until now it's still stupid. So keep practising - if you need advice there are about 20.000 authors who are pro rewards and pro punishement.
The skit is funny, but not as absurd as the real Alfie. I had to sit through two hours of that inusfferable twit lecturing on why lecturing is bad. Alfie, go home...
I get you guys. Don't trust anyone about whom there is hype. I take your point of encouragement to even look carefully at Alfie Kohn, still I think he is rather the minority voice in child education, and rather a good one.
Thanks for the pause, still think that Alfie is not that much deserving of taking the piss on him.
I wasted three minutes of my life watching the first part of this, can't see how it's funny at all. and Now I have wasted another minute writing this.
I also agree, for the most part, with Alfie Kohn, but this video was still hilarious, despite the obvious budget limitations. Lighten up, fellow Kohnies. Cheers.
I'm a school guidance counselor. I've been reading Alfie Kohn since I was a college student in the early 1990's. I even went to hear Alfie speak a few years ago and got him to sing one of his books. I love Alfie Kohn!
That being said, I thought your mock interview was hysterical! Great job!
People that portray Alfie as a quack are obviously not capable of understanding these concepts. Too bad for you, and your children. Children are getting more and more out of hand. With suicides, Failing in school, violence and overall unhappiness. Why is this? What is being done is not working. Maybe it's time to be open and try something new.
I have seen the benefits of an "unconditional" approach.
What research do you have to show that rewarding our children is effective in the long run. Obviously, these people are not real teachers, otherwise they would know how these theories have ravaged our educational system and our youth. Small-minded people.
Alfie Kohn's theories are the gateway to permissive parenting. And yes this in not Alfie Kohn. From the 5 minutes I watched of the DVD my wife has, he is much more annoying than this man.

OMG was this supposed to be funny? I hope the makers of this video weren't expecting any rewards for this.

What should we be doing with children, beating them?

This vid actually supports Kohn's ideas. The fake Kohn actually answers with his ideas and has a great response to all the questions....

I'm an idiot, I meant SIGN one of his books. Although Alfie singing would have been more memorable.

It's telling that these dumbasses chose to mock Kohn instead of to respond intelligently to his views and arguments.

Poor filming, bad sound quality does not do well for making fun of someone. So what if you don't agree with him.

Wtf....Alfie Kohn is a very bright man, and that isnt him ass face, this wasn;t funny at all
gomeras40 4 years ago
What does this mean?
Is it a comedy, or are the facts what you believe in?
Is this movie because you do or dont like his ideas?
Or because in real life Alfie's face looks like The Rock eating a bad lemon and then getting angry at it?

Disgusting video for a man who is faking to be the real Alfie Kohn. A shame!
