This song is so incredibly 90's it's not even funny. It's really missed.

There was much more "magic" in video games back then then there will ever be today. Or maybe I was young.. ?

I remember seeing this in a Kiosk at Target back in 96'-97' when I went with my mom to buy Super Mario RPG that was enclosed in a glass case on display. I remember the music and visuals being far beyond their time; it opened up a new vessel in art and entertainment.

@Suixa I've been wondering about that for along time. Maybe because when we experienced it we were younger? It was so intuitive, there was nothing out there like it at the time. I feel like they paid more attention to detail back then then they do now.. Music, game play, visuals. All that noise.

As an off note, the fact that there was no online play was kind of a beautiful thing. Having to hang out physically to enjoy something like this with people around you was really something else.

I've always thought NiGHTS was a girl too! Maby because in NiGHTS Journey Into Dreams NiGHTS is voiced by a woman. I dunno I guess I just like NiGHTS more as a girl than a boy. ;P

NiGHTS is a great hero for kids, genderless, so both boys and girls can relate to it and use it as a role-model. No violence, no guns or swearing, it's a shame the Wii outing didn't sell very well. In an age of grizzled Space Marines and dime-a-dozen first person shooters, the world needs more games like NiGTHS into dreams...

I, personally, see NiGHTS as a dude, probably cuz it looks like he's wearing a tuxedo mixed with a jester's outfit and a male's figure skating outfit. XD That and he looks just like Reala only friendly. (Tho in JOD Reala is more masculine. and NiGHTS is more feminine. But they still say "he" to NiGHTS. o.O)

NiGHTS is genderless. You're supposed to view him however you want or however you see him. That's why you seeing him as a her is correct while me seeing him as a he is also correct. That's how it's supposed to be.

I think it's kinda interesting for him to be both! XD

@leeandrew1976 Just buy the game from ebay, Back in the day, games withs audio tracks like this played in the cd player and doubled as not just the game but the OST aswell. But then again back in the day... games like this didnt have much data on the disks anyway so there was plenty of room for the audio tracks.

kinda easy to beat... and it's the predecessor, Yuji Naka never wanted to make a sequel, I was pissed when I played the 2nd one... nothing as original as the 1st one, since sonic team is not the same team, all the best sega games are... well... can't say that myself...

You can't give a character to someone but it's creator, who knows how it should be and how it should look, act, etc. Pretty sure that the original NiGHTS creator and the rest of the crew got disapointed, like all the fans got, in fact. They took all the simplicity of the game and turned into a... dunno, posh kid's dreams?

I never had the chance to play this game when it got realeased (both cuz i didn't had saturn and i was only 3) but this game catches the concept of dreams so well thats unbelievable for a game of 1996, the music is awesome, the levels.. NiGHTS outfit mostly (cuz i think they new one kinda sucks, its too jestery like instead of dreamy like the first one)

This game will always be remembered tho x) for being one of the bests

i wish they would have remade the game as the orignal was not put in new people and do the same thing but only a a tad different thats just dumb and a waste of time they should have just used the old charaiters and the way it was just with better graphics.. the guy who was the head of the sonic team left thats why it sucks. they have a remake of it with better graphics for the ps2 that came out about a year ago or something but was only realesed to japan
