  • this movie kicks ass i wish i could see it again impossible to find

  • thank god his skin doesnt sparkle. :D

  • @ironvenom33 I agree. Nor did he have pointed ears or two-inch fangs. I love the way he just steps out within this film appearing as a typical guy... Granted, a guy who walks through the streets in the dead of night rather spiritedly talking to himself... Okay, there's nothing typical about Walken. ;-)

  • @gothling1955

Ever seen Near Dark, The Hunger, Lifeforce, Def By Temptation, Innocent Blood, The forsaken, Blade 2, Planet of the Vampires, Sleepwalkers, Lair of the White Worm, Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter, Cronos, Martin, Vampire's Kiss, Immortality (Wisdom of Crocodiles), The Omega Man with Last Man on Earth and I Am Legend, Vampire Hunter D 1 & 2, Blood The Last Vampire (Anime) etc. those portrayed unconventional vampires before Twilight.

    No sparkling allowed right?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yes, I've seen or own all of those, except "Cronos" (which I'd love to see), "Def By Temptation", and "Blood: The Last Vampire". You're right, there have been numerous instances where vampires have been portrayed in varying & imaginative ways, some much more appealing than others. But to each their own. Personally, I despise John Landis, so "Innocent Blood" can go into the same junk heap as the "Twilight" series. Still, others are certainly entitled to see things differently.

  • Christohper Walken is amazing. I might just watch this movie. It looks interesting.

  • Yes, Walken is remarkable, a true original. I love how his prevailing image is so creepy, but all he truly wants to do is sing & dance. Too funny! What a great talent he is.

  • is this movies or something ??

  • Yes, it's a scene from a movie called "The Addition" made sometime during the 1990s.

  • I loved the prophecy movies too but, this one is still one of my favorites. Of course he is not just sexy but, talented and way funny as well. Thanks for posting that. I used to have all his movies but, left them an all things back in the usa to leave that crappy country. grin. I was glad to see this online here.

  • Yeah, the "Prophecy" movies were a real departure for Walken & they're favorites of mine -- he has such a commanding presence in them. But "Addition" really gave him a chance to shine in what was a brilliantly executed cameo appearance. With all respect to Lily Taylor, you're left wondering what a film centered around Walken's character would've been like. Yes, I know what you mean about this profoundly warped landmass -- I hope you're someplace where you can be happy. LOVED you face paint vid!

  • Awesome.............totally awesome!

  • Thanks for watching. Yeah, it's a pretty wickedly peculiar role for Walken: the weirdest / coolest vampire of them all.

  • Walken! Playing a vampire in this back and white indie feature. Certainly don't get cooler than that. Thanks for uploading this, I have seen bits of it before. But never the whole thing, I'd love to see it in its entirety, looks really good.

  • Glad you enjoyed it, Aqua. I hoped that you would, being such a big Walken fan. I think he really shined in this part, as small as it was. I loved how he used his voice during the course of his rants, very powerful & imposing. His appearance was still very close to how it was during the "Prophecy" films, which lended to his macabre presence.

  • Yes, this is great. I wish he'd do more films like this, more offbeat and less commercial films, I find them much more interesting, I also think he has a lot more to work with in those kind of roles. Yes I love his tone, really set the mood! I love it when he says NOTHING. Yes you can tell this is around the period he did the Prophecy by his look, just awesome.

  • Brilliant Walken, as always! I love this!

    Huggles. :-)

  • Thanks, Sweetie. While this movie is pretty intense overall, the end sequence always cracks me up, 'cause after winning her degree from NYU, she invites her professors back to her apartment to celebrate at a fancy reception -- then has all of her vampire buddies feast upon them. It's quite a blood bath, pretty gruesome, even in black & white! That sort of thing should happen more often, I think. Huggles to you, too.

  • WOW! chris walken is the master! i saw this film recently and it's very good. of course walken owns every film he's in, just like a good actor owns the stage their on. he's one of our favorite actors. thanks for reminding me of this. off to amazon too now! xx

  • Thanks, I'm so pleased that you connected so positively with the film. I find it fascinating on the one hand & disturbing on the other. They employ some very intense imagery. I've been meaning to upload this clip for the longest time, precisely because Walken is so jaw-droppingly ominous in the role. I admire his larger body of work, but I especially enjoy those rear times when he's given permission to be as outlandishly bizarre as he's capable of being (of course, I mean that in a good way).

  • i have the prophesy trilogy where he plays an angel, and he's maginificent. i also loved him in the fat boy slim music video where he dances, and of course the deer hunter where he wipes the floor with streep and deniro, and they were pretty damn good in that! i always feel he's underrated or he doesn't take the parts he should because i've yet to see him not do a good job. but he does baddies the best i think. >:)

  • I agree. I also think it's hilarious that his prevailing image is sinister, but deep down, all he really wants to do is sing & dance. One of the scariest guys he's played in "At Close Range" (I had an uncle exactly like that), there's a moment at the end of a tense scene where he's walking away, then does this dance move -- and they left it in (made NO sense that he'd done it, but it was still cool). "Dear Hunter" was definitely his big star-making role, really awe inspiring & soooooo tragic...

  • Pat & I love the "Prophecy" trilogy, too. He struck the perfect balance between being scary as hell & ironically humorous. And yes, that music video wherein he dances is "bloody brilliant" (as Ron Weasley would say), a real CLASSIC! I'm a big fan of "Suicide Kings". Wow, who else but Walken could be tied to a chair throughout the larger part of a film, and still manage to almost effortlessly steal the movie? Even in those thoroughly lame flicks he occasionally does, he's great to just watch. :-)

  • Dude you have this movie ?

  • Yeah, C.F. I've got a VHS tape I recorded off of the Independent Film Channel several years ago. I can't remember if it's out on DVD or not. I should go over to Amazon later and check. Otherwise, I'll probably end up making a bootleg transfer to disc of my own. But a professional copy would certainly be preferable.

  • I would love to have this movie it just so dame hard to find anywere.
