La verdad es que este cover me gusta bastante y tambien otro que te recomiendo oir pero no lo encuentro por ningún lado es el de Telegramme Couture, a esta misma canción, entre ese y este no se cual de los dos sea mejor, pero me agrada mucho la interpretación con una voz femenina, y los malos comentarios siempre exisitiran y nunca estaremos de acuerdo todos, no hagas caso y disfruta de la mejor banda del mundo DM.

and I don't like the unsubtle use of fx on the "aaaaaa aa-haaaa" part. It's like covering the emotions, out of shame because it seems too simple. (my only guess)

Especially that part needs to be pure.

when the second synth comes in at 1:05 it feels like something is wrong with the timing. Attack and release time set too long I guess. That part is not well-mixed too, too much interference between the different instruments. It really feels bloated.

with all respect, but this version is just a emotionless mash. the singer's voice is only one level, no accentuation. the singer's part is just to support the melody, at DM's Version it is clearly the voice, the melody is background.

well that depends.

In the beginning there was clearly more melody in the foreground. Then with more 'depth' (experiences) came a more emotional part into dm's music. There are some songs which 'live' from the voice of the singer.

('Somebody' by Marty...)

But this is not only in DM's music, you can find it in songs of various artists. The more you know of music the more you'll can discern between good & bad... :-)

Geike has a beautiful voice. It's perfect for DM's Shake The Disease but they killed this song using too much electronic music in the background. I think it would be much better without that electronic sound. A classic Hooverphonic would be perfect!

Yup, it's cause this is Hooverphonic, obviously not as great as DM, but in their own area, Trip Hop, they are Gods :P . I never compare covers or remixes to the original songs because this is like a tribute, fan art, they're not trying to out-do the original artist. It's like when me or you sing along to a song we like, were not trying to be better than the band, were just having fun singing our favorite song see. :D
