i think you might be confused about there call sign when their training and when their on a task, when their training they would use their civilian reg, ie, ei cxs( sligo chopper), so you would here them as helicopter x-ray sierra or charlie x -ray sierra,
then when their on a task they would change to rescue 118,
i asked a mate of mine who's brother is one of the winchmen in sligo, took him a bit to get back to me,
well its sorry i meant to type royal national lifegaurd association lol because its technically part of the rnli if it acts to a call which comes upon the rnli which it did hence the operation was a divided operationbetween the rnli(which in this case included the helicoptor because they were on the same radio channel ) and the mountain rescue plus the hm coast gaurd so if you want to get phinicedy LEARN YOUR FACTS!

correct i just realised that this is the ic as i normally video copters on the other side of the mountain were i live you see i live on the border so sometimes its ic sometimes sc and sometimes rnli joint op although the hm , rnli and ic were workin on this op i just assumed that that was scottish cuz im used to seing the scottish chopper my mistake but in this case the helicopter was classed as part of the royal irish rescue team because the name changes when its a joint op lol
