I was disappointed ~ knowing who he is I expected a recipe for gourmet hot chocolate mix powder that I can package as part of some gift baskets.

I am a chef myself but you don't have to be a chef to know who chef Torres is. He is the "God" of chocolate to many. That and baking. He redefined the making of the chocolate chip cookie last Christmas season.

He fills it up radulica because he was using a dry cup half measure. It was a bit high which is called a heaping half cup.

btw, the inca's (or maya's) used to drink pure molten chocolate with chili and thought it had healing abilities.

take semi-skimmed milk, add cocoa powder, add a chili pepper, cook until it almost boils. take out the pepper, turn off the heat, pour it in a glass, add 3 marshmellows, add whipped cream, add chocolate sprinkles, let the marshmallows melt so the beverage gets thicker and creamier, drink.

My 9 year old does this all the time, and I am sure that it is great, but there are a million Hot Chocolate mixtures, I would like to know how to make the mixture, the stuff in the stores are full of hydrogenated crap and a list of other garbage.

A general mix for hot chocolate powder is 1 part cocoa powder and 1 part white or raw sugar. You can change the ratio for more sugar or more cocoa depending on your taste, but the contents are the same. Cocoa/sugar.

the one he's using here is the genuine jacques torres powder that can be found in his chocolate shops.

i believe it only has jacques torres chocolate in it, and nothing else added (could be wrong, but that's how it tastes, and i've heard it before).
