The explanation is lame. The demonstration does not show that you can extract electrical power from the proposed device. Rolling the magnetized ring side to side does not cause the 'pulse'. The pulse displayed on the oscilloscope is, more than likely, generated when the oscilloscope probe comes in contact with the outer conductive layer of the moving ring. Magnets? Conductors? Relative motion? OMG, Searl has discovered electromagnetic induction!

But that doesnt really matter, as long as one doesnt have a clue how to use it. For Searl, a 100$ Ananlogue Scope from eBay would be more than enough, just wouldnt look so impressive...

You can not "imprint" an AC field into something. Instead, "AC fields" are actually used to DEmagnetize things: CRT's, tape-heads, etc.
Due to non-linearities in the material, it might be that a weak magnetization happens when using AC, but the result would be the same as if you would use DC: a static, non-moving magnetic field.
Magnets dont move on their own, no matter ho fancy the pole-pattern is.

They used the wrong figures, poor choice of material and worst of all they would not listen to his advice anyway. Thailand effort is by all indications on the right track to make it.

It was Martin who done most of the work and one of those who helped him back from obscurity.

From second hand information I have received he never had a working generator - it was all in his dreams not in reality.
