You thought I expected them to follow through with the techniques they were executing? I'm sorry but i didn't, mean that at all. And I agree with your statement that it's better to of trained than not.
these techniques are impressive, but in reality, such scenes lack any of the adrenaline or looseness and energy of a live situation...the expert knows whats coming etc, it's pointless sadly. Try getting one of those wrist locks on someone when you're being attacked by 3-4 guys throwing haymakers at your jaw all at the same time from different angles.
How do you expect such techniques to be executed fully without someone getting seriously hurt? All training presents POSSIBILITIES, timing and flow. As for a real fight, you are right very few techniques will ever get a chance to be used. However, the one that has trained will have an edge and more creativity and flow to maneuver in different situations.
Theres only 1 couple who is Krav Maga. The white shirt big guys. The black shirted and black pants are Defendo. Not sure about anything else but I have been training for Krav Maga so I recognize defendo and Krav Maga
Awesome comparison showing both the similarities and disparities between the different styles. Notice how the "hard martial artists" and the Krav Maga guy are generally less likely to go to the ground with their opponents and use a more devastating finishing move (join lock/break or a smashing/stomping motion to the head). Also, notice that the Krav guy doesn't let go of his opponent once he's established a grip on him until he's done with his series of combatives.
at 1:11 that near vertical kick....what martial art is that?
