i picked up this game seeing its low price and wasnt the least bit interest in gameplay. i thought what a pussy game exclaimation marks over soldiers and playing with an old man in tights why did i buy this shit ? then after playing the game i regretted on my thoughts,so many things to do, the story turned me into an emotional wreck and i deeply began to care for its characters,the game is perfect only thg that pissed me off that i wasnt able to load game without exiting to the title screen :D

Coolest feel of mechs in any game.. ever!. Story may have been long winded & convulted (only If you are not familiar with the series!) but every chapter in the game had at least 1 classic moment or take on gameplay from the mortorcycle ride, to the split screen film-like battle/hybrid gameplay, to controling the best looking & playing mechs ever!..was a high-water mark for games, they aren't even the main part of mgs4 just another treat!, overrated as a whole but BEYOND great in many parts!.

this game did not dissapoint me at all. the story is excellent, the humor is often well placed, and the graphics are beautiful. when i decided to ply the multiplayer, and it took too long to do, i thought "this better be worth it." and i was amazed. the multiplayer is worth the amount it time it takes to set up an account. i recommend this game to all you ps3 owners out there.

@Pain0rDeath Watch all the cutscenes & codec calls from 1,2, and 3. Trust me. You WILLNOT understand the story of 4 if you havent played the others. Or, if you are willing enough, you can watch an entire playthrough of all 1 2 and 3 games, but it takes a while. Its worth it though, anyways. The story is epic. You'll be attached to the characters before you know it.

my only problem is that the AI can be EXTREMELY stupid at times. 3:36 is a perfect example. how can they not hear a person right next to them yell in pain or the electricity? other then that this game is probably the reason to buy a ps3. although there really are many many other games that can prove to take the spot to. ps3 overall just has way to many good exclusives.

@Alexred94 in order to understand the story you got to play as follows Metal Gear solid 3 (I refer to it as Metal Gear -3 cause its Big boss in Cold War Era) Metal Gear solid portible ops (I think its after MG-3) PSP game Metal Gear solid Peace walker (takes place after Portable ops) PSP game Metal Gear (MSX computer game but comes on MGS3 subsistence) Metal Gear 2 (MSX computer also on MGS3 subsistence) MGS1 MGS gameboy game MGS2 MGS4 hope this helps :)

I love how they use the playstation 3 controller in the game itself, in ps3 exclusive titals. Little Big Planet has the Controller in the main hud area, and in MGS4, lay down, use the Mark 2 robot, click R3 to use the zoom and look at what Snake is holding. He is holding a ps3 controller to remote control the Mark 2. Its sweet.

I would suggest playing MGS3: Subsistence (pretty much same as MGS3, but w/ movable camera). MGS3 is very similar to MGS4 in style and gameplay mechanics. MGS1 and 2, while both have very good stories (2 can get weird at times, though), and are fun, are hard to go back to once you've played 3 and 4 (no CQC [which is awesome], fixed camera, etc.). Then read the story for MGS 1 and 2 on Wikipedia (I played all of them, and I still did that just to refresh). You NEED MGS4, though...unbelievable

honestly both, if youre buying for story killzone has as deep a story as any other fps, mgs4 has one of the best stories ever in a video game, if you have never played it gametrailers has a retrospective on mgs series and it explains everything from past games pretty well, if youre buying for mutiplayer killzone definately, mgs4 multiplayer is kind of shallow and gets old very soon
