I prefer to see how to make a sweater like Corinne wears in this video.
Is there any tutorial video how to make it? urs even look much wearable for me than this one, Corinne ._. I'm not hater. I'm sorry, but I just looking for something comfortable to wear. Agreed with alienpoo, that sweater only look good on model, I don't think the model feel comfortable wearing it too actually X3 it looks exposing some part of ur body >_<
it looks great on the models but it looks awful even on the designer, did she know that this is a diy show to dress up ourslevs not models???? not everyone got a body like that!!!
It's true, to each his own...I think this is fantastic and very creative. I'll have to watch the video a few times to understand how the designer's putting the sweaters together, etc., but otherwise I love it. Thanks!
I actually love the end result (I must confess I didn't expect this garment to turn out so... artistic/extravagant/uncommon, but I loved the surprise). BUT I didn't get the outlining part, and considering the comments below, I'm not alone; hence no way to try and make one for myself without further detailed instructions!
uhhh....WTF?? I agree with the others-I've been sewing for a million years and I had no idea WHAT she was doing! This should have been simple if it had been illustrated correctly. But it's soooo ugly why would anyone bother? Looks like a hooker dress.... :-)
this is definately not for beginners or for the faint at heart, you have to have some serious sewing skills to tackle this one... it was really confusing to follow...
I sew all the time and have been doing so for years. I make my own patterns and design my own clothes from scratch and sew them myself. This is the most confusing Threadbanger video I 've ever seen. It would have been nice to see what the finished product would be BEFORE she started chalking and cutting so that (a) we could decide if we wanted to make this questionable garment and (b) if we did want to make it, we could get a better clue of why she was making such weird shapes and cuts.
Everyone is right, this was one of threadbangers' weaker tutorials. You definitely need to have a picture of the finished product to visualize what she's making. I didn't even know it was a sweater dress until I went to her etsy shop. The sleeve hem could be cool, but I didn't really get what she was doing.
sorry, guys, I love your show, but this one was a dud.
Hmmm wasn't really into this idea from the positioning of the jumpers to begin with but watched to the end....can't say it's for me, but instructions were incredibly user friendly, and though I wouldn't make this myself it should be no trouble to anyone who wants to mimic it....though maybe wear it in summer....
It looked a wee bit like a Jedi had gone crazy with scissors. This one's not for me although the little trick with the seams was pretty cool and it's given me some new ideas.
It looks alright, but I can imagine the sleeves being a huge hassle when they slip off your shoulders all the time. But yeah, she should have showed a photo first, then begin the tut.
Agred, agreed, and agreed, again... as a tutorial, this was near impossible to follow (because the project just looked like a shaples mass of fabric... is she making fancy grain sacks, or what?!)
The finished sweeter sweater... well... the front's okay, but, the back looks really "unfinished." It's also terribly frumpy. It would hide a good figure & overstate a bad one.
Mlle. KColine is very adorable, though. Perhaps a tutorial on how to make one of her, instead, please! Teehee: <3
I want the old Threadbanger, threadheads back. This peice is definetely interesting.I do wish you could put a picture of the finished object first.Rock on! *snip* *snip*
Yeah, unfortunately I agree with everyone else. This tutorial just wasn't too fascinating. Personally I like to learn what I can make with sweaters that isn't another sweater. And I agree, it seems wasteful to use 3 to make 1. I appreciate the creativity, but this wasn't my favourite. Still love you guys! A whole lot!
um.... 1 sweater out of 3 old ones? no thanks lol. And I so agree with a bunch of other people that they should show the finished thing first so if you hate it you dont have to watch the entire video.
It'd be great if you would show the finished product first, THEN show the process, and then maybe go back to the finished project again. I just hate waiting for it all to load, then skipping ahead to see if it's even something I would consider making.
is it essential to use a seamer to sew stretch fabric and not a sew machines because when i sew my stretch fabric in my sewing machine its all screwy and does not look right. any suggestions?

hmm im not sure, even if its warm out the fabrics a bit too heavy, and its too open in the back for cooler weather , i dont know, i suppose its preference
Very cute! I 'm going to try and make it so it fits more like a kimono top on me with a more fitted bodice. I love the plunging back! I must see how I can alter it so it fits my taste!
I wish the back could make a hood...I would make it out of all the same fabric, three over sized sweaters from the thrift store.. It could be cuter I think.

To QueenofRoses777
do you have a straight-stitch machine?
if you have multiple settings, (like a zig-zag stitch)
on your machine, use those
the zig-zag stitch is generally used for stretchy fabrics.
