  • Like academics, this sweater is completely impractical. No offence.

  • I think that the back of sweater is little too long. I liked your sewing machine.

  • Pls do a tutorial on this poncho @ beginning

  • That's a Hufflepuff scarf!

  • I love your sweater Corinne!!!!

  • You're very talented, but heym what a waste of good stuff!

  • yo m fare un!!!

  • mmm not that great...

  • what is wrong with the back of that sweater??

  • it looks cool, but it also looks like it's too big...

  • Great creation, definetely interested in your other projects!

  • it's all very fun and beautiful, but

    I CAN'T HEAR A F***ING THING!!

  • She's so cute :)

  • I think if you wore it backwards with a tank top underneath it would make much more sense.

  • I prefer to see how to make a sweater like Corinne wears in this video.

Is there any tutorial video how to make it? urs even look much wearable for me than this one, Corinne ._. I'm not hater. I'm sorry, but I just looking for something comfortable to wear. Agreed with alienpoo, that sweater only look good on model, I don't think the model feel comfortable wearing it too actually X3 it looks exposing some part of ur body >_<

  • Hmm I personally don't get all these hater comments, I thought it was very chic and European style. I will defo be making this! Thanks TB :-)

  • seiously the share your style commercial is the pink fairy xteener cuz she looks soo much like her

  • @CollidingSparks yeah thats what i thought

  • cute but to hard for me!

  • looks like a yoda outfit..

  • Wow that looks hella dumb.

  • Lmao I love rob's random sleeve xD

  • very awkward and hard to keep up ... not worth the effort either , its not shaped nicely

  • I love her coat/cape! I want one!

  • та ну галимо!))

  • that was too ugly.....looks like she cut a blanket randomly and decided to wear it....AND i think she wears it backwards!

  • if you sew the back toghether it would look a lot better, and it would actually fit normal people instead of just bulimic models. :p

but it's a really cool idea.

  • are u kidding me? ;p

  • looks cute on the models,

but she looks like a jedi..

  • I think that's because she's wearing a tshirt underneath it, and it's a bit tighter on her than on the models.

  • @InLoveWithMIYAVI which is perfectly awesome. who wouldn't want that? :p

  • i want the cape corinne is wearing =)

  • ....oh.

  • This is cool but I think its the type of sweater that would only look good on models >.>

  • This is such a sweet idea!

  • elle est vraiment adorable!

  • I think it would look kinda cool if you wore it backwards with a tank top under it or something.

  • i love it

  • can you show me how to make some cute baby stuff thats not traditional? if i have to make one more pink baby bootie im gonna puke

  • heee hee shes wearing bunnies

  • Strange back, Don't think I'll be making this.

  • i feel like she was working too much for the front and didn't realize the back was going to turn out the way it did.

  • it looks great on the models but it looks awful even on the designer, did she know that this is a diy show to dress up ourslevs not models???? not everyone got a body like that!!!

  • that doesnt exactly look practical

  • it looks good on the models...

  • It's true, to each his own...I think this is fantastic and very creative. I'll have to watch the video a few times to understand how the designer's putting the sweaters together, etc., but otherwise I love it. Thanks!

  • tres chic. i love it

  • that is awful!

  • That was the ugliest thing i have ever seen

  • I understood what was going on completely, if you actually pay attention you can follow along with the video...

I love the end result. I'd make one but I don't own any sweaters like those

  • yeah, thats fairly horrid looking, but i suppose to each his own. shrugs

  • I actually love the end result (I must confess I didn't expect this garment to turn out so... artistic/extravagant/uncommon, but I loved the surprise). BUT I didn't get the outlining part, and considering the comments below, I'm not alone; hence no way to try and make one for myself without further detailed instructions!

  • I take it this video was more of a "look what I made" rather than a "follow along and make this with me" kinda video.

  • I love your coat.... can you show us how to create something like it? please!

  • you guys are insane! the sweater is fantastic for ppl who have an ugly pimple/ scar and want to wear something even more atrocious as a distraction.

    five stars!

  • HAHA

  • uhhh....WTF?? I agree with the others-I've been sewing for a million years and I had no idea WHAT she was doing! This should have been simple if it had been illustrated correctly. But it's soooo ugly why would anyone bother? Looks like a hooker dress.... :-)

  • from what i can see, i think she was outlining it like a puzzle for measurements:P

  • I agree..i have no idea what she what she was doing!! But I must say that it turn out really cute..i like the frumpy, big sweater look..^_^"

  • this is definately not for beginners or for the faint at heart, you have to have some serious sewing skills to tackle this one... it was really confusing to follow...

  • I sew all the time and have been doing so for years. I make my own patterns and design my own clothes from scratch and sew them myself. This is the most confusing Threadbanger video I 've ever seen. It would have been nice to see what the finished product would be BEFORE she started chalking and cutting so that (a) we could decide if we wanted to make this questionable garment and (b) if we did want to make it, we could get a better clue of why she was making such weird shapes and cuts.

  • had to be about -2 pounds to wear that thing

  • That was not only ugly but also unflattering :/

  • Worst video ever.... Couldn't follow WTF she was doing at all.... End product is ugly as fuck... Can't believe I even sat thru it... bah.

  • Cor's hair looks good long :)

  • y is everone complaining u can tell what it looks like they show a good amount of pics lol

  • Corrine, your hair...

  • Had trouble with this one. Didn't get it until the end product was shown.

  • i didnt like how the camera guy shot it.

  • Everyone is right, this was one of threadbangers' weaker tutorials. You definitely need to have a picture of the finished product to visualize what she's making. I didn't even know it was a sweater dress until I went to her etsy shop. The sleeve hem could be cool, but I didn't really get what she was doing.

sorry, guys, I love your show, but this one was a dud.

  • i found it quite tough to follow. maybe show the finished product first so we could get a sense of where she was going

  • are you not supposed to cover your back? it's gross.

  • Hmmm wasn't really into this idea from the positioning of the jumpers to begin with but watched to the end....can't say it's for me, but instructions were incredibly user friendly, and though I wouldn't make this myself it should be no trouble to anyone who wants to mimic it....though maybe wear it in summer....

  • It looked a wee bit like a Jedi had gone crazy with scissors. This one's not for me although the little trick with the seams was pretty cool and it's given me some new ideas.

    Thank you!

  • wow.. what just happened? i was soo confused!

  • It looks alright, but I can imagine the sleeves being a huge hassle when they slip off your shoulders all the time. But yeah, she should have showed a photo first, then begin the tut.

  • I don't know if its because I don't sew much... But I REALLY didn't get this tut. lol Sooo hard to follow.

  • Looks cute.

  • Its cute in the back but not the front and would only look good to a tall skinny girl.

  • Agred, agreed, and agreed, again... as a tutorial, this was near impossible to follow (because the project just looked like a shaples mass of fabric... is she making fancy grain sacks, or what?!)

The finished sweeter sweater... well... the front's okay, but, the back looks really "unfinished." It's also terribly frumpy. It would hide a good figure & overstate a bad one.

Mlle. KColine is very adorable, though. Perhaps a tutorial on how to make one of her, instead, please! Teehee: <3

  • I completely agree with this

  • sooooooooo confused....

  • oh good, thought it was just me and was too tired to get what she was doing. I can't say that I hate it though.

  • that was hideous

  • yip have to agree with everyone else i has no idea what she was making untill the end!!!

  • well that was a waste of my time

  • i really had no idea what she was doing until the end, and i didn't like it. :(

  • lol! me too, i thought the sweater was going to be completely diffrent! hahah

  • Sorry, but what the hell is she doing here?

  • why are you sorry there is no reason to be sorry!?!

  • i wonder if people pay them to get featured?

  • i dont get it

  • that chalk looks expensive O.o

  • I want the old Threadbanger, threadheads back. This peice is definetely interesting.I do wish you could put a picture of the finished object first.Rock on! *snip* *snip*

  • Yeah, unfortunately I agree with everyone else. This tutorial just wasn't too fascinating. Personally I like to learn what I can make with sweaters that isn't another sweater. And I agree, it seems wasteful to use 3 to make 1. I appreciate the creativity, but this wasn't my favourite. Still love you guys! A whole lot!

  • WE WANT THE OLD ThreadBanger BACK. COMMON YOU GUYS START POSTING YOUR OWN TUTORIALS LIKE BEFORE... :(

  • um.... 1 sweater out of 3 old ones? no thanks lol. And I so agree with a bunch of other people that they should show the finished thing first so if you hate it you dont have to watch the entire video.

  • I love your top corrine. HAVE TO MAKE IT!!!

  • HAHA that thing's also selling for $250 in her etsy shop

  • It'd be great if you would show the finished product first, THEN show the process, and then maybe go back to the finished project again. I just hate waiting for it all to load, then skipping ahead to see if it's even something I would consider making.

  • nice o.o

i love the finish work :) but the tutorial was a little confusing @_@

  • having a picture in the beginning of what is being made would have been nice, as i had no interest in this piece.

what has happened to rob and corinne giving tutes? they usually had better ideas for clothing and basic sewing tips too.

  • They could have shown a picture of the finished "sweater" in the beginning - I then wouldn´t have wasted the time watching this.

  • what a sloppy piece, she wasn't very detailed about her explanation either... sort of like: you just go like this, then you do this right here....

  • I think it's the wost episode of ThreadBanger ever, that piece was just weird, and it's a waste of clothing :(

  • You definitely haven't see nte halloweenie how to "green make up"

    that is memorable

  • that was interesting :)

  • I LOVE it.

  • im not sure if i'd call that a sweater, but i like the way it looks on the front, i would close up the back though, dosent look to warm =p

  • How the heck would that stay on? it almost fell of in the back because it was soooo low! Ugly.

  • interesting idea, but i'm not sure i'd wear it everywhere

  • i would like to see more tutorials from rob and corinne.

i like all of the independent designers, but i just understand them better.

  • i like corinne's sweater how do you make it?

  • I liked the sweater Corinne wore at the beginning better.

  • agreed. the new one is a bit out there for my tates

  • i dont like how she wore it, but i loved how to models wore it.

  • Ew. Hideous sweater, sorry.

  • is it essential to use a seamer to sew stretch fabric and not a sew machines because when i sew my stretch fabric in my sewing machine its all screwy and does not look right. any suggestions?

  • To QueenofRoses777

do you have a straight-stitch machine?

if you have multiple settings, (like a zig-zag stitch)

    on your machine, use those

the zig-zag stitch is generally used for stretchy fabrics.

  • really a zig zag stitch??? i did not know that....thank you!!! sergers are kind of expensive so i cant buy one now but now i know i use zig zag for stretch fabric thanks for ur response to my question!!

  • This tutorial is not my cup of tea... I was able to understand the Oscar's cape tutorial much better than this tutorial... and it has nothing to do with her accent! :-)

  • i liked this episode! i don't know where you all are coming from...i thought it was unique, but not practical...but as they said, it's meant for the warmer weather!!!

  • hmm im not sure, even if its warm out the fabrics a bit too heavy, and its too open in the back for cooler weather , i dont know, i suppose its preference

  • Very cute! I 'm going to try and make it so it fits more like a kimono top on me with a more fitted bodice. I love the plunging back! I must see how I can alter it so it fits my taste!

  • What accent does she have? I can't quite put my finger on it.

  • It's a French accent. She says "Au Revoir" at the end, which is French.

  • i think it was french because she said avour at the end... i was just asking myself the same thing lol

  • it's not avour, it's au revoir which yes means bye in french

  • that is what i ment, and im sorry for the spelling error. I took spanish in high school, i tried lol

  • i wish the person filming would stay in one place :[ i cant see perfectly wat shes doing

  • I wish the back could make a hood...I would make it out of all the same fabric, three over sized sweaters from the thrift store.. It could be cuter I think.

    Thanks for the idea

  • It looks interesting, not something i would wear but it's a good idea and it can be modify into something else.

I like how you have guest designers to make tutorials, that's cool but i really miss Rob and Corines how-to's, hope we can see one soon ^^. Just a comment.

Btw, i wonder who's rating some positive comments as poor comments, that's just lame.

  • Corrine's how-tos are the best... she gives the best sewing tutorials!

  • I love all of the ideas I always see, but I can't ever see wearing them in the real world.

  • Very bad this time, sorry...

  • The whole time i was like what the hell is she doing..

i adore it tho!! its so great!

  • . . . how would you even wear that? It'd be rather drafty, I'd think. :P

  • Sorry, but I was expecting something much nicer looking. Three perfectly good sweaters get thrashed to make up a backless poncho???

  • is it just me or does that sound when she cuts into the sweater jsut make you Cringe! BUT IN A GOOD WAY! i love it! lol

  • I love that sound... However the sound of the chalk on the fabric makes me cringe....

  • oh hey..thats pretty cute.

  • niceeee.

  • looks very interesting but i don't have any sweaters since i don't wear em:D

  • The front looks interesting, but the back is just weird.

Or maybe just keep the old sweaters and wear it again the following year? It seems like such a waste of 3 perfectly good sweaters.

  • i agree, i think whenever there is some sort of drastic reconstructive project, that the sweaters should either be horrendously ugly or torn somewhere etc, otherwise its kinda a waste to some ppl whop might need good sweaters :)

  • Yeah, the sweaters could go to people who don't have enough money to buy decent clothes, not to make some weird backless poncho?

  • lol! very much agreed

i think threadbanger should have a featurette where they donate good unwanted clothes instead of mangling them

  • haha yeah

  • oh holy shit, ahah.

I didnt expect it to look that cool!

good job, i have no idea how to sew, But threadbanger's a great channel I've been watching for quite a while now.

    Keep up the good work!

    -Luke.

p.s.Think we could get some more DIY home? :)

  • ill second that :)

  • sweet :D
