  • Why would liberals want to protest CNN? WTF?

  • CNN is a disgrace to journalism.

  • Man I wish I could of went to one of these =/

  • I hate to tell Cenk but members of Congress doesn't care about the American people all they care about is their own agenda.. get reelected, make lots of money, make lots of money for their elite benefactors, gain power/influence, to hobnob with the rich and powerful and to laugh at the peasants that are stupid enough to elect them

  • /agree our country went from the best to one of the worst in less then 20 years

  • it took longer than 20 yrs.. it began after WWII when the industrial-military complex did not fade away at the end of the war.. they decided to become necessary by promoting the cold war and hot wars..then came Nixon and the plan to export the US industrial base to China and other third world countries thus ending union power.. transforming the economy from an industrial based economy to a low wage service economy resulting in a debt driven consumer economy..DEBT the largest US industry

  • im just speaking in terms of statistics. like unemployment, wealth, health, education. stuff like that. but yes, i also agree with what u said about our indeabted society and the warmongering.

  • they were trying to affect the media not the politicians for the most part

  • yeah they wanted to call attention to the fact that the media is not doing it's job ..but that is due to the fact they have been bought by the people that they should be critically watching.. we no longer have a 4th estate to protect freedom but if u heard Cenk say he wanted to send a message to the politicians as well

  • @Dasconscripts affect is a negative happening, effect is a positive. Just thought I should let you know that :P

  • @Psychronicle Check your dictionary.

  • uhm i know this is not a real chat but.. Anyone up for some cam chat?^^

  • So how many people showed up to this thing anyway?

  • Good job TYT's I'm proud of you. Your voices are louder than all of that false noise that I hear coming from the right side of my ear and the reason why it's louder is because I can hear the truth or should I say logic rather than lies and fear mongering. Today I am subscribing to your channel keep up the true reporting and do not become like the other side with lies. LEFT and RIGHT need to keep it honest.

  • ahhh i missed theyoungturks for a couple of days and this is what i missed out on? i don't live in any of those towns so it wouldn't have mattered

  • i am looking for nice guys who want to chat or give me a call

  • Uhhh... wrong web site. lol

  • SexyyAamberr is a phone sex operator looking to charge you money to talk dirty for a few minutes.

Some things you probably don't know about phone sex operators-

They are not screened for any particular skills, even in sexy conversation. Anyone can be hired.

They are paid by the minute and are encouraged to keep you on the line as long as possible.

The job ends up paying less than minimum wage most of the time - this means it attracts women who can't get any other job, such as the disabled.

  • You are a liar... The majority of people Do NOT Support a government controlled public option....I dont know where the hell you get your numbers... I think you are mistaking people who want healthcare reform. Everyone wants reform. Republicans to. But this public option crap that the House has presented is garbage and doesnt even improve anything.

  • Well, then what do the polls say? I don't think it is just a coincidence that they are actually citing polls at their protest, whereas the tea-baggers and town hall people just get angry, bring guns, and have signs with messages that are barely comprehensible.

  • Hahaha, the liberal are going to march?

  • America ,this is the time to stand up for your rights. If you do nothing for your health care don't blame Obama later .

  • TYT and MAJOR Nidal Malik Hasan, two peas in a pod

  • You know what... let all the idiot liberals have their public option. Then after The O's term is up, and a Republican, maybe like Bush, gets elected they will shit a brick that the government controls their health care and will bitch and moan until they get it reversed... problem solved. It will just be one ridiculous cycle of partisan idiots listening to disphits like the nobody in this video and Glenn Beck.

  • You do know every civilized country has universal health care, right?

  • You know what else every civilized country has? Crime. Cancer. Streets.

Ask yourself this: "Do I really want a republican controlled legislature or a republican president having any say or control over my health care, or my pay check that is supposed to go towards health care?"

If the answer is anywhere from "Probably not." to "No," Then your partisan glasses are on too tight, and they are squeezing your brain.

  • If the health care bill works out I doubt a republican will be voted in for a very long time. And if one does - they'll be very liberal to today's republican standards.

    *see Canada

  • Back in the 1970's todays moderates would have been considered liberals. Who knows what can happen.

  • @HKBM45 yeah, America is totally going to elect another republican like Bush...

  • Dont be so sure. And how about a democrat like Bush. Heard of this guy they call Obama? Hes got these terrible bank and auto company bailouts like Bush. He is keeping Bush's wars going, he is keeping Bush's Patriot Act, and he is spending money on record levels. You cant honestly want the government sticking their noses into your health care.

  • I agree that Obama thus far has been a complete dud, but despite all that, health care reform is actually something good for the benefit of the American people, unlike the wars, the Patriot act, and the bailouts. Hopefully a comprehensive public option does go through and subsequently a single-payer system (kind've like the one we have in my country)

  • What health care?

  • Well, lucklily for me, I live in Australia, where we have private healthcare AND a public option for the less fortunate. I think it works pretty well.

  • :) me 2

  • Yeah, but that's too rational for a lot of Americans. Trust me, I live here.

  • hey tyt?! Hows it feel to blow

  • The well respected and White House endorsed MSNBC journalist Keith Olbermann just referred to the protestors as "Apartheid supporting Racists!"

    *facepalm*

  • the whitehouse does not endorse political pundits *facepalm*

  • The1CamBo,

The White House sends emails to MSNBC while they are ON-AIR to tell them what to say!

MSNBC actually read one on their morning show...the clip is on here.

    you = pathetic...

  • maybe you need to read your first comment again. the whitehouse does not "endorse" political pundits. I don't know what you can't understand about that.

  • Did I not say 2 days ago that this would be an abysmal failure? Please Turd, it's not your organizational skills, IT'S BECAUSE YOUR DEFENSE OF THIS FAILING ADMINISTRATION IS INDEFENSABLE!!!!! THe policies, the proposals, every freakin thing about this Obama is BAD BAD BAD right down to his hypocrit wife. Maybe you'd be of more service to your viewers if you advertised for Viagra or Depends.

  • It's funny that in a war, we don't worry about how we have to pay for it.

But health care comes a long and we're worrying about the deficit.

The two wars combined costs 927 billion dollars. That was in 8 years. The health care reform costs 800 billion dollars and thats over 10 years.

And unlike the war, you're getting something out of it.

    This is bullshit.

  • whats even more interesting is that the 927 billion dollars isn't a huge dent in the government's budget, its about 1% of the GDP

  • 77% of who? The American people? TYT are deceptive and full of shit.

Check out Rasmussen or even the Liberal Huffington post. American people in favor of Government health care hover around 40-45%

    22% Strongly for Gov healthcare

    44% Strongly oppose Gov healthcare

The only number in the seventies is 72% of DEMOCRATES support Gov healthcare. Orrin Hatch is correct when he says that Gov healthcare is unpopular.

Google health care polls for fucks sake and get informed TYT.

  • WRONG, you are actually deceptive and full of shit. You need to look at who is running the poll (republican "think" tank) and how that poll asked their question ("government takeover vs public option - BIG DIFFERENCE). A Washington Post-ABC News poll asking favor/oppose public option = 57% favor, another asking favor/oppose CHOICE of public option = 76% in favor!, CBS News/New York Times poll = asking favor/oppose government-sponsored health care plan to compete with insurance, 72% in favor...

  • And the Fox news poll 2%, all these conformists polls are against public option they need private insurance for now to give them handouts for their misinformation. Lets face it people who are against public option are the haves and the one that are for it are the have -nots .or just like Idea of every American able to have health care when needed. The haves always try to keep the have nots below them.

  • @hassan09 very good point. I wish I could make a Marxist out of you. But I won't hold my breath, or have high hopes, that will happen.

  • Right, tax the corporations, they are people too remember. If they want to be a person, then pay the personal rate that the majority pays. Otherwise, sheath that tongue...

  • I read the SurveyUSA poll.

The question asked would they want the "CHOICE" of the 2 options. and the obvious answer is yes. I'm surprised it wasnt 100%.... but that doesnt mean they are going to choose it. especially the 67% that have private insurance (same poll).

The problem with the current bill is that your choice goes away after 5 years.

  • Stenk's problem is that he lies so often, nothing he says can be considered credible. The problem with his lie about most Americans wanting the public option is that most Americans don't want ANY reform! You are so easy Stenk!

"the past several months, that overall, 48 percent of Americans oppose the reform packages (whether a "public option" was included or not) moving through Congress while 45 percent approve."

  • @BriansVideoHobby where is the other percent 48 don't want it ok so 45 approve of it those don't add up

  • That's not English dude....FAIL

  • What a fool Stenk is... hundreds of tea party protesters stenk? Try millions nation wide and hundreds of thousands in DC. Today - 12PM and CNN hasn't mentioned your stupid protest! INSTEAD they are covering the anti health care government take over protest! SWEEEEEEEEET! LOL HAHAHAHA

  • You should take this a step further and protest outside the Faux News headquarters!

  • TWEETED!

  • Statistic are made to Lie.

  • TYT is LIEING. TYT say anywhere from 77% to 55% of people favor the public option. LIE!

A mere 42% of people favor the health care plan and 54% oppose it so tell me, how the hell can 77% - 55% of the people favor the public option?!? Maybe 77% - 55% of the people that favor health care but don't try to bullshit people with that kind of statistic. That's typical Liberal Democrat bullshit! If you can't persuade people legitimately then lie to them! What a bunch of idiots!

  • yea your going to have to bring at least 3 ligament polls proving them wrong first before you start calling bull shit on them

  • How about the most trusted poll rasmussen which says the majority of americans do not want this government run healthcare.

  • yeah, and TYT ridiculed them. Now that it's obvoius that the Conservatives will be the ones to get the power back in 2010, Dems and Progressive radicals are crapping in their pants. it' will be eintersting to see what kind of dirty deadbeats show up at their protest.

  • get a f*ckin job and buy your own insurance deadbeat

  • funny... they made fun of protesters and now they are going to try it...hahaha

  • 9 out of 10 americans were against the bailouts but they did it anyway. neither side cares. this pro PO protest, as well as michele bachmann's anti PO protests are both a big waste of time.

  • Hey retards! YES, people want something for FREE! If you have a brain you know that does not work. TYT (nice name, are we in the 80's... turks?") best of luck . Dipshits!

  • so silly!

  • The new TEABAGGERS!

Only they stand for NOTHING. I'm sorry. They stand for: Give me everything for free like Mommy, and Daddy did!

  • what is this protest about

  • I don't want to pay for your healthcare sand nigger. Pay for your own loser. Go beg for money somewhere else bitch.

  • Thats cool. I dont want to pay for your dental care you toothless hick.

  • I'd love to go but it's on a school day. If this were a right wing gathering the whole schooling schedule wouldn't bea problem.I will send an e-mail though. WEEKEND next time. ;)

  • The majority of Americans do support the public option, but by far the majority of likely voters are against it. Why should a self-interested politician care what non-voters want?

  • I have 210 people coming to the Atlanta gathering and here's how we painted up the bus!

    watch?v=Wq7ZBygIgAY

  • I'm afraid.

  • Yes, Democrats were hurt bad in the elections, but we're fighting back with Cenk's idea. Here's proof:

    watch?v=Wq7ZBygIgAY

  • See you in 2010 new tea baggers! I guess the elections taught you nothing? Good keep up the stupidity!!!!

  • Americans don't want the public option why can't you dumocraps understand?

  • 77% fuckface

  • Comment removed

  • Moronhill- just the response I would expect from someone of your party. WOW you guys are the open minded . You LOST, and the best is yet to come! Now go ask mommy, and daddy for more money. Dipshit

  • No the ones who do not want it are the idiots who watch Fox news and who voted for that dumb cunt Sarah Palin.

Let me know when you get your news from another source besides Fox news.

  • every one i know whats it

  • I would love to go there myself.

If my family and I could go to Atlanta, (which my cousin lives..in which she works for CNN), we'd be there in a heart beat. I can give her a call about it to see if she knows what we can do. :)

    Thanks TYT

  • I wish I could go there with my Obama as the Joker no socialism sign.

  • If Dallas (I live in TX) was on the list, I'd participate ... Power to the Young Turks :)

  • I don't think CNN will waste money to film any tyt scum that actually show up. maybe they'll mention it and just show some stock footage of flies on a pile of shit

  • Gd luck TYT, wish I could be there fightin with ya :)

  • No, because TYT's protest will be backed by facts. BOOSH!!!!

  • Nothing against TYT, but doesn't this sort of make then like Fox with the tea parties/9.12?

  • TYT doesn't call themselves a news network.

Although I think they're more reliable than any of these "news" organizations.

  • best of luck with that

  • not entirely. Fox denied that they were encouraging people to protest. TYT is pretty clear where they stand.

  • I don't find this very humerous

  • Then why did the republicans sweep the governor races?

  • then why did democrats sweep the congressional races?

  • If you can't come in person 11/5/09 you can help from home! Check out the link to the right of the video in the "more info" section to see how.

  • I like the idea of a public option... However, c'mon Cenk, you know that polls are terrible indicators of this stuff. Polls can be shown to reflect whatever the pollster wants it to show. It's all in the wording man. You can get the same person to give two completely different answers to the same question by how you phrase it. Just something I thought I'd bring to your attention.

  • I do not want goverment managed health insurance. I do not want government rationed healthcare. I do not want government involved in my patient doctor relationship. If this governemnt health thingy is so great they should require that all of congress get it. And the president to.

  • if you DON'T WANT, you DON'T HAVE to receive it, its not mandatory no ones forcing you...as for the latter part about congress and president, I somewhat agree

  • There is an unconstitutional madate requiring you to have insurance either private or the government option. If you don;t abide by the mandate then they fine you. Under the Pelosi plan the government is forcing you to purchase a service.

  • Yeah, that's true Paul. Nancy Pelosi is a disgrace. Evidently, there's a clause in her plan that says something along the lines of "if, your private insurance changes in ANY WAY, then you have to drop it and use the insurance they think is best for you". Why can't the Dem's just write some simple, clear legislation that will cover people who are uninsured with strong language about who qualifies and who doesn't? This Pelosi bill is NOT what the American people want.

  • Honestly, this is a bad idea. It will just give FAUX an excuse to bash us for holding "riots" or some shit like that and the other major news groups will fall in line with Faux like always.

  • that may be true, but its better then just sitting by and trying to compromise, if that's the right word for it :P

Fox is going to bash us no matter what we do, so why not have our voices heard? I have faith that if the poles are right, we will be able to get our point across untainted and not corrupted.

  • Unless your SEIU thugs beat the snot out of some innocent guy for holding a dont tread on me flag, you won't get bad press.

  • Invite the MSNBC news, and you might get that Chris Mathews guy to rub a thrill up your leg.

  • sounds good, lets do it!

  • your mom needs to work too

  • Sorry but your dad prefers young boys.

  • Dannyboy are you volunteering? Figured you were gay most taebaggers ARE in the closet.

  • Lol. I work for a living unlike you Obama Zombies who want hand outs. You Dumocraps are the ones who support "gay marriage" by the way.

  • A blow job? So your saying youre gay?

  • "blow job" ----- When did I say that? It's just your fruity Liberal mind at work. Then again Liberalism is a mental disorder. ;)

  • Look, I just want to be friends but Im sure thats not the first time youve heard that both men and women agree.

  • Ok lets a friendly discussion. All I want to know is where do you think the money to pay for the "public option" is going to come from?

  • Comment removed

  • the idea is that it will be cheaper so people can pay for it out of pocket not a plan to pay for people but make things cheaper afordable

  • The idea may come with good intensions, but the price tag for a Public Option comes with a hefty 865 Billion Dollar price tag before "interest".

At the current moment we are fighting in 2 unconstitutional wars running at about 5 billion a month each on borrowed money from China . While on the other hand you have the Federal Reserve Banksters printing money out of thin air. Which will ultimately lead to Hyper-Inflation.

Thats why I keep asking "where is the money going to come from"??

  • People are losing their house and jobs because they can't afford their healthcare costs. In the long run, the spending of the billions to get the public option going could help the economy.

  • People are going to lose everything once the dollar collapses. Everyones best bet is to buy gold and silver NOW!

  • Yes, of course the public option is the will of the people, that has been obvious for a long time. but the sad fact of the matter is that the will of the people is often an irrelevence when compared to the will of big business's

  • I wish that they would have given us more notice about this. I just heard about it yesterday.

  • Hey Im optimistic about it. Dont underestimate the TYT army. Besides, not every protest needs to be hundreds and hundreds of people. Just enough to get noticed. God bless, move forward.

  • well why don't you look up the polls they reference on their website if you are so concerned with the numbers. Don't just rely on fox news for everything

  • You would say that the government should censor groups that they do not agree with?

    So much for conservatism.

  • u idiot who do u think that opinion station surveyed, a bunch of republicans thats who. Why is it that all the other polls are drastically bigger than that one in favor for the option

  • Every poll I've seen has 57-7% in favor of a strong public option. Look up some Gallup polls.

  • enough with the fucking ads!!!!!!!

  • Should have really centered it around something else (a vote or something) and should have given ample time.

  • I wish you well. I hope you get huge turnout, but I fear this will be disappointing.

I live in Chicago, otherwise, I would show up.

    I fear disappointment.

  • Didn't The Daily Show with Jon Stewart talk about CNN's selective bias (about the public option) a week or two ago?

  • gee just like FOX who is always sucking the conservatives dick. Except Shep Smith hes the best

  • what about wasington dc?

  • The bills not completely formed yet things can still be dropped and added. KEEP THE PUBLIC OPPTION IN THE BILL! Were the best country in the world. We can do this no problem!

  • wear bright colors so you can be seen better.

CNN security has orders to shoot on sight

  • Actually, millions of Tea Party Protesters did show up. How can TYT deal with that???????I bet there won't even be 100 of them. For the record, i am a liberal.

  • Are you referring to the 2.5 million teabaggers that showed up in Washington?

If so your a liberal idiot

  • ROFLMAO. OH GOD. u think 2.5 million teabaggers showed up in washington?! r u fuckin crazy? LMAO, wow your a dumbass, why don't check your sources again.

  • 2.5 million? wow it was between 70.000 to 100.000 where did find that numbers

  • How many? Ive heard this crazy talk before so I looked up photos of the Million Man March in 1995. Just looking at the pictures you can see that are a lot of TeaBaggers but clearly it looks to be only 25% to 30% of the crowd that attended the Million Man March. Boston University estimated the MMM crowd at 837,000 (±20%). There might have been 60,000 TeaBaggers, all standing around telling themselves how Important they are and screaming take my money Glenn Beck. lol

  • LMAO, are you referring to the 65,000 morons with a mean IQ of 12?

  • 2.5 million!? Where the hell are you getting this from!? The police estimated the crowd at 75,000. That's a damn good number, why run away from that?

  • Well go back to watching Fox then, numbskull.

  • I would love to come and try to help with this but have no way to get there or know anyone who would be able to get to Atlanta(a whole state away) :( But best of luck to everyone!

  • If liebermann votes against the Health Care Reform...I will officially coin the word " A Lieberman"...as a description of a person who totally misrepresents the interests of that which he says he represents. In short, he would be a person that talks out of both sides of his mouth. A "Lieberman". Remember it.

  • The glenn beck army is gonna crush everything...

  • Lol you are a moron. I remember you continually making the case that liberals watch fox news and crying about it yet here you are still watching TYT videos and making retarded comments.

  • you nut-bags can't compete against ACORN. That army is going to crush YOU!!!!

  • ACORN was so 2008. Glenn Beck already took care of them. They are not relevant anymore.

  • I'm in Ireland so i cant help directly but I've passed this video and the last one on to all my contacts especially the Americans. Good luck Turks!

  • It'll be interesting to see who gets more coverage on November 5th, the TYT army outside the offices of CNN or Michelle Bachmann's tea party outside the capital. Btw, is Cenk or any of the TYT hosts going to attend one of these CNN office building gatherings?

  • yes they are ... the one in LA

  • ibtrippen, That'd be some horrible irony if you got everyone sick. might make for a more poignant protest

  • drewsteriam5, It's obvious from the polls which have been conducted throughout the entire "debate" on health care reform that the majority of Americans want it. It's not based on the number of people who show up. People showing up and protesting in mass is more so to demonstrate to the media & politicians that the majority is willing to stand up. At this point there is no debate about who the minority really is.

  • Cenk, you thought that only a few dozen people would show up when your channel has 92,000 subscribers?

I just recovered from the flu, I think. If I show no symptoms today then I'll be confident that I won't infect the rest of you and I'll be there.

  • Crap, even if I started driving straight from my class tonight I wouldn't get to ATL in time. (plus I don't hav enuff $ for Gas) Think next time you decide to mobilize we could get a little bit more of a heads up?

  • This is a brilliant campaign.

  • It's not "the clear majority" at all. Just because you have, say 10,000 people protesting, does not mean that the majority of America agrees. That just means 10,000 people want it. Talk about playing with facts. "SurveyUSA" is probably not the most reliable of sources. You aren't counting all the people that don't want it. Do you honestly think people are going to go and protest against the public option if the Senate and House have both pretty much killed it? Idiots

  • The public option is not nearly dead first of all..so no one killed it, idiot. Secondly it's a clear majority of Americans based on MULTIPLE different polls not just the size of protests. Are you that stupid you can't understand something so simple?

Go back to watching fox news if you don't understand facts.

  • I've noticed this crap, and CNN has promos of people appearantly chanting about CNN not letting people play with the facts. I see it all the time, they let the idiots just say whatever they want regardless if its true or not... then they just move on without addressing it. CNN is no better than Fox.

  • You cant really average polls though and expect an accurate result. They use different sampling methods and sample sizes. They often have questions phrased differently or paired with different questions. Well you get my point i hope. 8-D

  • mariocarl: i made a minor error in my previous reply to you as 52% was the lowest number Cenk mentioned and not 55%. However he only mentioned 4 in the video the average of which would be 66.75% and the blog lists 8 the average of which is 62.75%.

  • Im sorry your right i should have re-checked my numbers as well. though i have a question, are polls an objective resource for factual news or are they a speculative statistic that could very from place to place, and if so, is this usage of polls a legitimate bases for an argument and/or reliable news.

  • it's geographic data, that does daily polling say around 1000-10,000 people given race, gender, age, State, city, religion, and so on

  • @Omega231984: its still probability no matter how diversified and shouldn't be based as fact or as a news story.

  • It's not guessing, it is an exact fact where 25% blacks goes for one side while while 75% of whites go to one side, that's why the gallop polls exist, so that we can do polling on the entire population and demographic to the smallest variation, that's just how it works and quite effectively
