  • Just an absolutely great song from Live. You can feel the passion and intensity that was their signature sound on TC and SS. Brilliant!

  • Rock bands of the 1990s had something , they had a revolutionary sound that symbolized another generation of angry displaced socially confused youths about at a time in our American culture when being cool, being an individual really meant something and this music from Live was part of it . IT WAS BASICALLY REBEL WITH A CAUSE MUSIC , you know what im saying? :)

  • Secret Samadhi was truly a spiritual rock album that brings back the sound and spirit of Led Zepplin . I really liked it ! LiVE rock on forever , with or without ED :)

  • Absolutely GREAT !!!!

  • where are bands like LIVE today in 2011??? The 90's had the best overall music that was real that you actually wanted to listen to!!

  • Secret Samadhi is such an odd album. Brilliant in its own right but so different from what came before and after it from these boys

  • @riffmeister76 even they said they had no idea what the fuck it's about which in my mind is a good thing. Everyone has their own interpritation of the songs which makes it unique.

  • Amazing song from Secret Samadhi! Love the intensity, passion and hard rocking sound. Gracey pounds those drums like a madman! Great post.

  • Good song, good album, although a little slow and dull at times, but the only real issue I ever had with them is Ed's live performances vocally. He tries to do too much and strays too far from the original melody and just kind of sounds like a mess. Doesnt matter now though, they broke up.

  • @trenken That what I love about his live performance. EVery performance is a unique take on the original tune. If you wanna hear it just like the album then open your itunes.

  • @trenken Also treneken you must remember that the older a song gets the more its morphs into something different not just for the enjoyment of the listeneres but for the sanity of the poor guys that have to play it 100 times a year on stage. When he sings the newer songs the performances are more like the orginals. Check out Bono sining old U2 songs. Same deal. Hasnt hurt him any...

  • awesome Live performance from the best band.

  • Great song, great album, great band! Thanks for posting!!

  • Secret Samadhi is my favorite of their albums. Flows very nicely.

  • underrated band, great song, LIVE RULES

  • The guitar solo was woeful. Alex Lifeson makes this guy look like a beginner!!!

  • best band ever.

  • .. what's with the comments about the guitar solo?? I mean, okay, so the dude's not hendrix, page, but it wasn't a failure of a solo :)

  • I love Live, but there is a reason they dont have solos in their songs, ...and I think we all just saw why !

  • well, they do have solos in their songs. But if they wouldnt (like you expected, what was your reason - I can't see it)

  • I cant think of more than 4 or 5 Live song with anything I would consider a traditional guitar solo.

  • it depends what u consider a solo,...or a 'traditional ' one more to the point......if u want something thats fast and shows off the ability of the player than u defo wont get that in live,.....but i think this solo is superb cos it complimets the song brilliantly, and add another dimension to it......not something stev vai,for all his ability, has ever been able to grasp!!! lol

  • There's nothing wrong with the guitar solo. Its part of the song that makes it so great. Love this band, I've just got "Awaka" their best of album and it actually has all their best songs on it.

  • @SashaSlee

missing a lot of Secret Samadhi.. not all that "great"

  • 1:31 Looks like he has a "Prosthetic Hand" LMAO!

  • I never realized that.. wow, it does at that angle!! LMAO!!

  • Ha ha Yeah I wrote the wrong time before.

Its 1:33 where it looks like a Prothstetic Hand!

  • Wow, Chad Taylor reminds me of Zangeif *grin*

Still, tremendous song, and yes it's true.. Secret Samadhi still does it for me after all these years!

  • hehe

  • I saw them twice recently and they played Turn My Head, Lakinis Juice from this album. I really really wanted Freaks but I already knew the song gets no play :o( ... and I would have liked this. Also, they didnt play pain lies on the riverside or operation spirit which I thought was odd.. Atleast play one of those songs atleast one night. makes you wonder.

  • Greatest band of all time

    Great opening song at concerts

  • he kinda looks like maynard james keenan...

  • Secret samadhi is for me the best live album, I love this song!

  • @gonda1983 Good call....greatest culmination......Plus Adam got to tour !!

  • @gonda1983 Good call....greatest culmination......Plus Adam got to tour !! God oh mighty where do you go from here................

  • I wish they would play more songs off Secret Samadhi in their Live set.

  • Only problem with that is the songs on that album arent really very concert friendly. Many of them are very slow and dull, for lack of a better word. Good studio album, not great concert songs.

  • depends. I like this haunting style and its not big staduim. Its a crazy mixed up town I guess.

  • Great video, helluva song, though I have to say, Live's new albums don't hold up as well as their early ones. Secret Samadhi in particular, still sounds fresh to me, while some of the stuff they did after sounds a bit dated.

  • LIVE is one of the best damn bands of all time!!!!
