ah, but If you run the windows dosbox version you see what I say, also try the Dune 2 mp3 soundtrack from user denlock , that was what I sought after, because that is the Dune 2 sound that I wanted to hear and that I am used to.
I dont know whats wrong. This is the original music from the game. If you like real sounds go for it and search for the Original Movie or Dune 2000 musiktracks and stop complaining.
:D Well, nothing is wrong, but your music obviously is not the original game music of Dune 2. So that what's makes me rage , because when you search for Dune 2 music, you want to hear that. If it says Dune 2 Battle Music, I expect the movie to contain just that, but it doesnt, this wastes my time and makes me rage.
The music in this video sounds somewhat like Dune 2 but with midi voices, I have never heard this music while playing Dune 2
All the people that wrote comments below your idiotic conversation remember all this tracks very well. Pszichopark for example could tell us the names of the tracks. NukeCorruption remembers the tracks and got good memories. All this people know the tracks like they are in the video. You should wash your ears, man.
Well i do not know the name of the Dune 2 tracks, i just do remember them from when i played it on Amiga 1200. The rest of them is that i do remember quite well the tracks of Dune 2000 too. I played Dune 2 a loooong time ago. I remember that it was good to hear old songs again in a new form when i get Dune 2000. Later i searched them titles of the "new" songs.
Still...Klepakie made a good choice with remaking those old tracks.
I played it on my Amiga 500 back then, only it had different music, with a special climax and no percussion at all, anyone know what I'm talking about? GREAT game BTW!
no i feel it to be very similar in the feeling it gives, it pushes, it produces tension, and the melodies are non standard, multiple harmonizing complex melodies, and if you listen exactly there is also similaritiy in the track arrangement (strongly differing parts) vivid instrumentation is there too with both artists :)
so lots of similarities, do you feel it too now? ^heheh
I played this game when it came out in 1992... i was only 2 by then, Tears of nostalgia were had and now i want this game back :(

I remember the battle music at 4:30 being "lower" in tone. I can't really describe it. Maybe it was my sound card.

This brings nostalgia to me. The music from this game is great and memorable ^^

This is a pitiful little machine. For some reason the Ordos believe that this overblown Trike can out maneuver and out fire our Quads.

Unbelieveable that an 18 year old Frank Klepakie (born 1974) composed these amazing tracks.

It was long ago, since i played this game back in 1991. It was a blast, on the brink of death while the battle music started (like in 4:30) awesome.

Let's see what remixes did Klepakie made from these for Dune 2000:
1:00-2:00: Attack on Arrakis
3:30-4:30: Harkonnen Battle
5:35-6:35: Fight for Power
6:35-7:40: The Ambush(was hard to recognise, but the second part of the Dune 2 version are quite the same)

Most of the time, though, the direction was all wrong.
And he announced the hostile advancement even when you're attacking the enemy base, be it newly created enemy unit or a harvester.
Jairion 3 years ago
Then you also had...Warning, Fremen approaching....from the south. The memories ahhh.

WHAT?! I dont recall ever seeing Fremen in any of my games, or even in the manual! What maps did they appear in?

It would be in the last map if you went harkonnen.
