  • Hi All. Been a while since I've seen this Video on here and have been amused by some of nethy02's comments. Just to Clarify......1. The Drummer, Sylvia, did not return to Germany but the other 3 members remained. 2. She is very much alive and very much married and not single. 3. We must be related nethy as Sylvia is My Mother.

  • @StartTheIgnition you must have an aunty jean

  • They were a pretty good band!

  • Helluva lot better than Lady Gaga.

  • @flapdoodle64 well that isnt a hard thing to achieve is it?

  • I've only just discovered the Liverbirds, and they were awesome! Would have loved to see them play.

  • "Bo Diddley Rides Again" =)

  • Pamela Birch on lead guitar lived in Hamburg/Germany for more than 40 years. She passed away at the end of October 2009, aged 65.

A very polite person and a great character.

    RIP, Pam!

  • All I can say is WOW! Awesome!

  • thank you so much for this, this, my aunt was in this group, she was the drummer. dave

  • @NoMoSpam

I don't know if they were or not and care even less.

  • She was quite the looker.

  • I will pass on your comments, you might be in with a shout there, shes still alive and single now lol

  • I can't find any info on them. Liverpedia is sadly lacking.

  • they were no around for long, they went to germany like all of the groups and soon disbanded. Sylvia (my Aunt) returned years later

  • I thought they were around from 1962-1967. They have a few albums with starclub, I have them all and they're a great band and ahead of their time as an all girl group. Tell her she still has fans!

  • I will ask her if she wants to make a come back :-)

  • awesome, I'm wondering if the members of this band are still all in contact with each other. They're a group I always wondered about.

  • hahahahaha...I could watch your aunt play for hours...so awesome!

  • theres no answer to that. :-)

  • @nethy02

Your aunt is the officially the coolest person in the whole world! :)

  • way cool

  • Great song with an Amazon lead singer!!!!

  • I would have cried like a bitch if I'd seen them live. The Liverbirds are awesome.

  • Hard to believe this song was recorded by Bo Diddley at least 10 years before, it has that perfect mid-sixties sound
