Excellent defense by Jordan on Magic, especially at the end of regulation when he wouldn't let him get a shot off. Lol @ Magic blowing right past Pippen for easy scores. Anyway, Jordan had 4 steals and 2 blocks in the game. I wish more of his excellent defense was on this video.

To comment ure "preposterous numbers" comment I would like to add:
Lebron James series vs the Atlanta Hawks last year was something like this
38 PPG 11 RPG 9 AST 51%3PT 61% FG
So, just to argue greatness vs greatness. I think I have an argument. Especially seeing the evolving of the game and players.
His entire playoff of '09 was like: 35ppg 9reb 8 ast. Seeing players and competition are getting better by the years I'd say thats what u'd consider greatness.
@NittoBBS Lebron's numbers vs. Atlanta were vs......Atlanta. lol. Not exactly the 91 Lakers. And it wasn't in the finals. Lebron's single finals performance was horrible. To put up the numbers Jordan did, in his first finals, on the biggest stage, against Magic Johson, is far better than anything Lebron has accomplished.
has anyone else noticed that jordan always kicks his feet into the floor right before the tip off of every game? lol. maybe its a habit but i noticed that he always did it. watch from :49-:55.
That is about as close youll hear MJ get to bragging when talking about the switch hands shot.IMO he has AT LEAST 15-20 shots that are more difficult than that that never got the air time because it was mid 80's and during regular seaon. Example would be the shot against Vinny Johnson where he jumps straight up and double clutches and hits it from behind the backboard. You dont even see it on any tapes for some reason but many of his double pump shots against tight defensive were more impressive
Wut about the reverse double clutch layup against Karl Malone in the '97 finals, nobody ever talks about that one. It's shown a lot but noone actually acknowledges that it happened. But the one against Vinny Johnson was pretty amazing.
Jordan was and will always be the best players ever.
He is a true champion that refused to lose, i loved nba action back then. it's starting to get a little better now, but it was a big fall off when mj first retired.
Without a doubt Jordan is the best!! And wow what a classy guy when hes being interviewed. not many people like that these days and im not talking about his skillz cuz aint no one like that and there never will!
MJ carried this team, especially after the Bulls lost Game 1 in Chicago and I remember that in the 2-3-2 NBA Finals format, if you lose one or both of the first 2 games at home, then the team with Games 3, 4 & 5 (if necessary) could possibly finish you off on their home court. But the Bulls took care of that swept the 3 games in L.A. It's been done 3 times in this format, this one, 1990 & 2001.
When another player earns 6 finals mvps, 5 NBA MVPs, 3 all star game MVPs, 10 defensive first team nods with at least one d player of the year award to go along with it, 10 NBA scoring titles, hits more than seventy game winning or game tying shots and prevents more than 5 fellow hall of famers from winning a championship because he s so dominant and does it all while taking two of his prime career years off then, maybe then i'll consider calling that player the next jordan maybe. MJ=UNTOUCHABLE
jordan best of 90's, bird\magic 80's, jabbar 70's, russel\chamberlain 60's. Duncan\Shaq 2000's. russel won 5 mvp 11 titles. better than jordan, so russel the best ever? no, the best of his era(with Wilt). stop comparisos with players of differnt era. jordan is not the best ever. there is no best EVER. what means??
jordan is the best ever. if u look at talent, accolades, skill and his level of charisma...jordan is the hands down goat. he also did this little thing of changing the game forever.
@juvenal660 and just think today's players have a better chance of accomplishing those feats because the league is (overall) easier and softer...and still none of them will accomplish anything close.
@juvenal660 You forgot rookie of the year, 10 time all NBA first team, and Highest ppg average career wise in the regular season, playoffs and Finals!
At 1:37, you can hear spectators in the stands cheering loudly for MJ. The fact you see this in an NBA Finals series shows what a great player and showman he was.
hehe..I agree, but people are itching to find MJs replacement. So anyone who plays remotely close to him...BAM he's better. I.E. Kobe Bryant. When in reality Kobe right now at 30 is not even close to MJ at 30..hehe. I used to get blue face telling people that the only comparison that Kobe has to MJ at times is his offensive intensity. But that's where it stops. MJ all around is light years away from any player currently playing, and when is imposes his will you can forget it...lol.
Kobe gets Jordan comparisons because they are very similar players. Nobody is saying Kobe is better. But to say that Kobe is not even close to Jordan or that Jordan is light years away from any current NBA player is ridiculous.
besides Kobe offensive game which clearly he stole from MJ...what other player is as dominant as MJ today on both ends of the floor..?lol. Keep in mind MJ in 1988 just 4 years in won MVP, Scoring title and defensive player of the year. (all in the same year)..he also was ahead in blocks of 10 starting centers that year.hehe. He was just overall more tenacious than Kobe. Kobe great shooter..MJ great shooter, slasher, and disher, and on top of that played suffocating defense..just too much.
I'm not going to get in a non-sensical argument about this. As long as you admit that Kobe and MJ are close, then there is no point in going further. Again though, whoever says that Jordan is far superior to Kobe hasn't been watching basketball the last 10 years.
Is not a non-sensical argument...the closest thing to Jordan offensively is Kobe. But note I say offensively...that's where it stops. As far as IQ, tanacity, defense, making your teammates better etc...just overall MJ takes it hands down. I don't see anyone in today's game that's close to MJ as an overall player. Not one.
What does it mean to "make your teammates better"? What evidence do you have that Jordan is better at making his teammates better?
What evidence do you have to support your statement that Jordan has a higher basketball IQ than Kobe? If Kobe is so dumb, why does Phil Jackson defer to Kobe to get in his teammates' faces about blown assignments, where to be, strategy, etc.?
Ok let's forget awards, statically just statistically you look year by year at MJ steal per game and compare it to that of Kobe's.
2nd. Kobe did not make his team mates better to win his 4th ring, Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol sacrificed their games to work around Kobe's game and Phil's triangle offense.
3rd - I never said Kobe is dumb, just MJ is smarter when it comes to making decisions in the game of basketball. Kobe has 100% MJ moves, but there have been instances where even Kobe has admitted
1. Steals aren't everything. There have been lots of guys who are good at getting steals and are not good defenders.
2. That doesn't answer my question.
3. And MJ never made a mistake? MJ never forced a shot? Kobe understands the triangle as well as anyone.
4. True, Kobe may have learned from Jordan but that doesn't make him a worse player. You don't think Jordan learned from others who he was better than?
Dude no one is saying Kobe is not good...man..I respect his game. He's just not as good as Mike. He's with him offensively but all around MJ was better. You ask any one that and they'll agree. Plus MJ played at a diff time when the NBA was alot more physical and harder than it is today and still managed to win defensive player which is rare for a guard and win scoring titles while at it. Like the fact the he's consider the best ever is not a fluke...
I've heard often that when Jordan played, the league was more physical. Then explain this. Why did the average team score 110.8 ppg in '84-85? And 93.4 ppg in '03-'04? I couldn't find any numbers in between but the fact of the matter is Jordan played in 84-85 and Kobe played in 03-04. So by these stats (and I admit that you can't base everything on stats), Kobe is a BETTER scorer.
I'm not saying Kobe is a better player. I just don't think this is a clear cut as people make it seem.
This is based on pts scored per 100 possessions. MJ ranks 3th ALL TIME, kobe, 94th.
Kobe B4 the def rules changed
227 games - 26.59ppg on 44% FG%
Kobe after the rules changed
290+ games - 31.75 ppg on 46% FG%
The Top 10 Scorers in the NBA had a 23% increase in ppg avg & a 4% increase in FG% AFTER the changes. With FACTS like these staring U in the FACE, HOW can U even BEGIN to imply he's a better scorer? LOL!!
that he sometimes doesn't make good decisions on the court. MJ just knew how to attack the defense from early in his career. He knew when to take the shot and when not to force the issue. Kobe is great don't get me wrong, but he is no MJ. Believe me I've been watching both very closely and I played basketball all my life and love both of them as playersand I can tell Kobe loves MJ as much as I do. But when u try to copy an original it never comes out as authentic. Although kobe masters it
This is based on the # of pts "allowed" per 100 possessions. MJ's defensive rating is QUITE a bit better. The awards merely reflect, not "create" the productivity of MJ on the defensive side of the ball.
I could go on & on about HOW MJ was significantly better on defense than kobe..
That stat is in part a team stat. MJ has always had better defenders around him (with the exception of his first few years) so of course he should allow fewer points per possession than Kobe.
It's "part" of being a good defensive player. By doing this, you're literally taking a possession away from the other team. With that being said, how can U NOT be acknowledged on the defensive end?
"MJ has always had better defenders around"
Man you're makin' excuses because kobe came to a team that had PLENTY of solid defenders around him, not to mention, having the ULTIMATE defensive anchor in shaq!
U kobe homers ALWAYS ask us to disregard the obvious when assessing one's prowess on either side of the ball LOL!!
This other kid on another vid "claims" that MJ's scoring titles, scoring records & his consistently higher ppg avg in both the reg season & playoffs, "doesn't" make him a better scorer than kobe LOL!!
What's next, kobe's a better rebounder than rodman, but rodman's consistently higher rpg avg & rebs titles "don't" prove he's better at it? LOL!!
Pippen NOR Grant were the defensive players they LATER became in their careers! Neither did shit defensively, until around 1989-90! U kobe homers ALWAYS act like they came into the NBA as dominant defensive players LOL!!
Pippen's rookie yr, he rode the pine & was the 7th best player on the team, yet U think U can attribute MJ's defensive prowess to him?
MJ won Def Player Of The Year, Steals Title (had OVER 200 steals & 100 blocks) in the SAME season & U think that's the result of them? LOL!!
It is you not me who is getting all emotional about this. So if anyone is a homer, that would be you.
Try to read what I actually said about Rodman, Pippen, Grant, etc.
"HOW can U even BEGIN to imply he's a better scorer?" Again, read what I said.
Now, I will give you props for the offensive stat comparisons you came up with. Although the fact that Kobe ranks 94th puts into question what the stat actually means because Kobe is clearly much better then the 94th ranked scorer ever.
O.K. let's take AI and Malone since those are 2 players that played recently
Take those 2 players and Kobe. Who would you rather have with the ball in the hands, game on the line?
And as a side note, AI has got to be the most overrated player ever. Very simple way of looking at this. Look how much better Denver got after replacing AI (reputation: First Ballot Hall of Famer) with Chauncey Billups (reputation: solid NBA point guard).
"Who would you rather have with the ball in the hands, game on the line?"
Now that's a TOTALLY different subject matter. Who's more clutch is different from who's "consistently" a better scorer. Obviously the answer is kobe..
And regarding A.I., he's 3rd All Time in ppg, & I correct myself from my last comment, he has 4 not 3, Scoring Titles & other than MJ, is the ONLY player to have EVER won the Scoring & Steals Titles & MVP in the SAME season.
Yeah but the scoring titles don't mean anything in terms of helping a team win a championship. A player like Allen Iverson could never win a championship for a team in which he is/was a significant contributor. What team currently would AI be a good fit on?
Billups, meanwhile, good fit on Denver. A lot of players who are considered inferior to AI would be a good fit for a championship contender.
yeah i know. i said on a side note, AI is the most overrated player. I wasn't using that to back up my original premise. I was referring to AI's scoring titles specifically not meaning much. His scoring titles give him a lot of praise, praise that I think is undeserved. Thus, making him overrated.
I'm worn out with the Kobe-Jordan argument. You bring up good stats to back up your point but I still never got an answer to the question about the stat comparison I mentioned.
U guys kill me with that..do posters like yourself just randomely dismiss the OBVIOUS in some attempt to level the playing field for your guy? That's what it looks like to me.
If we're having a discussion about "scoring", HOW can U claim that "scoring titles" don't mean much? What is that?!!
How can claim the that "praise" he gets from this is undeserved? Why because kobe doesn't have 'em? Only 2 other players in HISTORY have MORE scoring titles than him!
U guys ALWAYS try to either discredit or dismiss the accomplishments of others when it doesn't apply to kobe, just to level the field for y'all to make a "favorable" comparision for him in these kinda' discussions.
But yet, when posters like myself bring forth "facts" about kobe, y'all claim we're hating LOL!!
ONLY a kobe homer would say that the praise A.I. gets for being tied for 3rd ALL TIME in scoring titles, is "undeserved" LOL!!
What the fuck are you talking about? I wasn't even talking about Kobe.
I guess I have to spell it out for you. I said on a SIDE NOTE (meaning something totally independent of the discussion of who are the 10 greatest scorers of all time), AI is the most overrated PLAYER (not scorer) of all time.
That has nothing and I mean nothing to do with Kobe fucking Bryant. Damn!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Stop argueing with the guy, your an obvious Kobe hater. AI is completly overrated. Get over it. Kobe is easily one of the top 10 players to ever play the game. AI prolly doesn't even touch top 50 of all time. End of Story.
I hate it when idiots like U come on here talkin' about someone's "hating" for stating what kobe has actually DONE & consistently does on the floor! Do U not know how incredibly STUPID that sounds?!
Everytime U dummies can't refute what the other guy is saying with factual info of your own & U need a quick exit out of a conversation that your dumb ass probably isn't competent enough on to begin with, U idiots ALWAYS wanna scream "your hating on kobe!"
You are a Kobe hater. Kobe is only 30 years old and has 12 healthy seasons under his belt, 11 All-star game appearances and 2 scoring titles, and the stat that really counts, 4 rings ...Iverson isn't a team player and will never win a championship...so sorry
I wasn't even talkin' about them in relation to each other from a "overall" standpoint, but ONLY as "scorers" & where they rank & what each has & hasn't done!
And besides, I wasn't talkin' to U any damn way! If you're gonna jump your ass in a conversation, AT LEAST learn how to read & put one's comments in their PROPER context!
So true man Kobes stats are pretty damn good but just because they are not as good or better than the greats doesnt mean that your hating it just means his numbers are not up to par!
Look at 7:48-7:53 how Jordan is heavily pressuring the inbounder yet has the desire, instincts, quickness, and tenacity to hustle back and cut in front of Divac, who had a clear lane, and strip him. It's these little things that made Jordan the best ever. No other star wing today makes that play imo.
no that's not the perkins with the celtics..the perkins here is sam perkins who retired in 2001, while the perkins with boston now is kendrick perkins, drafted in 2003 outta high school. i doubt they're related cos there's alotta perkins..afterall jermaine o'neal n shaquille o'neal aint related..lol
Byron Scott had a horrible series. Offensively and defensively. But when you're defending Michael Jordan. There's not really much you can do about that.
I have this entire series on DVD, but once again, excellent job, Hoops, or editing on your editing to give us the ultimate highlight reel.
BTW, when is "Artistry" Part II, coming out? Friendly suggestion: Use the song, "Angel" by Massive Attack as the soundtrack song, it'll fit perfectly...
Hey Rod Thorn, if you can draft this great player who won six championships and then some. why can't you draft a similar player for the New Jersey Nets so they could win a damn lousy championship, before their jerk meglomaniac owner moves them to Ralph Kramden's neighborhood? By the way this video was shot during the last time we saw Magic Johnson play in the NBA.

31.2ppg, 6.6 rebs, 11.4 assists, 2.8 steals, 1.4 blocks, 56.64% FG, 50% 3FG and 85% FT).

hehe..I agree, but people are itching to find MJs replacement. MJ all around is light years away from any player currently playing, and when is imposes his will you can forget it...lol.
luckylefty232323 2 years ago 6
If Kobe is so great he wouldn't be playing a 7th game against the Yao-less Houston Rockets.
jeanrollan 2 years ago 2
if kobe is so great then thats why he just won the title.
G0000MBA 2 years ago
I'm not taking anything away from Kobe. He is a great player, obviously inspired by a greater player---MJ!
jeanrollan 2 years ago
Kobe gets Jordan comparisons because they are very similar players. Nobody is saying Kobe is better. But to say that Kobe is not even close to Jordan or that Jordan is light years away from any current NBA player is ridiculous.
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
besides Kobe offensive game which clearly he stole from MJ...what other player is as dominant as MJ today on both ends of the floor..?lol. Keep in mind MJ in 1988 just 4 years in won MVP, Scoring title and defensive player of the year. (all in the same year)..he also was ahead in blocks of 10 starting centers that year.hehe. He was just overall more tenacious than Kobe. Kobe great shooter..MJ great shooter, slasher, and disher, and on top of that played suffocating defense..just too much.
luckylefty232323 2 years ago 2
I'm not going to get in a non-sensical argument about this. As long as you admit that Kobe and MJ are close, then there is no point in going further. Again though, whoever says that Jordan is far superior to Kobe hasn't been watching basketball the last 10 years.
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
Is not a non-sensical argument...the closest thing to Jordan offensively is Kobe. But note I say offensively...that's where it stops. As far as IQ, tanacity, defense, making your teammates better etc...just overall MJ takes it hands down. I don't see anyone in today's game that's close to MJ as an overall player. Not one.
luckylefty232323 2 years ago
Forget awards, how is mj better defensively?
What does it mean to "make your teammates better"? What evidence do you have that Jordan is better at making his teammates better?
What evidence do you have to support your statement that Jordan has a higher basketball IQ than Kobe? If Kobe is so dumb, why does Phil Jackson defer to Kobe to get in his teammates' faces about blown assignments, where to be, strategy, etc.?
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
Ok let's forget awards, statically just statistically you look year by year at MJ steal per game and compare it to that of Kobe's.
2nd. Kobe did not make his team mates better to win his 4th ring, Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol sacrificed their games to work around Kobe's game and Phil's triangle offense.
3rd - I never said Kobe is dumb, just MJ is smarter when it comes to making decisions in the game of basketball. Kobe has 100% MJ moves, but there have been instances where even Kobe has admitted
luckylefty232323 2 years ago
You don't think Jordan learned from others who he was better than?
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
Dude no one is saying Kobe is not good...man..I respect his game. He's just not as good as Mike. He's with him offensively but all around MJ was better. You ask any one that and they'll agree. Plus MJ played at a diff time when the NBA was alot more physical and harder than it is today and still managed to win defensive player which is rare for a guard and win scoring titles while at it. Like the fact the he's consider the best ever is not a fluke...
luckylefty232323 2 years ago
I've heard often that when Jordan played, the league was more physical. Then explain this. Why did the average team score 110.8 ppg in '84-85? And 93.4 ppg in '03-'04? I couldn't find any numbers in between but the fact of the matter is Jordan played in 84-85 and Kobe played in 03-04. So by these stats (and I admit that you can't base everything on stats), Kobe is a BETTER scorer.
I'm not saying Kobe is a better player. I just don't think this is a clear cut as people make it seem.
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
Even if you are wrong, you made a good point.
rioshu 2 years ago
"Kobe is a BETTER scorer."
All Time Offensive Rating: MJ 118 > Kobe 112
This is based on pts scored per 100 possessions. MJ ranks 3th ALL TIME, kobe, 94th.
Kobe B4 the def rules changed
227 games - 26.59ppg on 44% FG%
Kobe after the rules changed
290+ games - 31.75 ppg on 46% FG%
The Top 10 Scorers in the NBA had a 23% increase in ppg avg & a 4% increase in FG% AFTER the changes. With FACTS like these staring U in the FACE, HOW can U even BEGIN to imply he's a better scorer? LOL!!
blackadam06 2 years ago
that he sometimes doesn't make good decisions on the court. Although kobe masters it
luckylefty232323 2 years ago
"how is mj better defensively?"
All Time Defensive Rating: MJ 108 > Kobe 102
This is based on the # of pts "allowed" per 100 possessions. MJ's defensive rating is QUITE a bit better. The awards merely reflect, not "create" the productivity of MJ on the defensive side of the ball.
I could go on & on about HOW MJ was significantly better on defense than kobe..
blackadam06 2 years ago
That stat is in part a team stat. MJ has always had better defenders around him (with the exception of his first few years) so of course he should allow fewer points per possession than Kobe.
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
"Steals aren't everything"
It's "part" of being a good defensive player. By doing this, you're literally taking a possession away from the other team. With that being said, how can U NOT be acknowledged on the defensive end?
"MJ has always had better defenders around"
Man you're makin' excuses because kobe came to a team that had PLENTY of solid defenders around him, not to mention, having the ULTIMATE defensive anchor in shaq!
blackadam06 2 years ago
U kobe homers ALWAYS ask us to disregard the obvious when assessing one's prowess on either side of the ball LOL!!
This other kid on another vid "claims" that MJ's scoring titles, scoring records & his consistently higher ppg avg in both the reg season & playoffs, "doesn't" make him a better scorer than kobe LOL!!
What's next, kobe's a better rebounder than rodman, but rodman's consistently higher rpg avg & rebs titles "don't" prove he's better at it? LOL!!
C'mon man, cut the excuses!
blackadam06 2 years ago
Excuses or not, it's true. Rodman and Pippen were TWO (Shaq is one) of the greatest NBA defenders ever. Grant wasn't bad either.
If steals are all that matters in defense, then why did Pippen average fewer steals then Jordan? Who was the better defender?
Are the top 5 steals leaders the top 5 defenders this year?
1. Chris Paul
2. Dwayne Wade
3. Jason Kidd
4. Mario Chalmers
5. Rajon Rondo
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
Pippen NOR Grant were the defensive players they LATER became in their careers! Neither did shit defensively, until around 1989-90! U kobe homers ALWAYS act like they came into the NBA as dominant defensive players LOL!!
Pippen's rookie yr, he rode the pine & was the 7th best player on the team, yet U think U can attribute MJ's defensive prowess to him?
MJ won Def Player Of The Year, Steals Title (had OVER 200 steals & 100 blocks) in the SAME season & U think that's the result of them? LOL!!
blackadam06 2 years ago
It is you not me who is getting all emotional about this. So if anyone is a homer, that would be you.
Try to read what I actually said about Rodman, Pippen, Grant, etc.
"HOW can U even BEGIN to imply he's a better scorer?" Again, read what I said.
Now, I will give you props for the offensive stat comparisons you came up with. Although the fact that Kobe ranks 94th puts into question what the stat actually means because Kobe is clearly much better then the 94th ranked scorer ever.
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
"Kobe is clearly much better then the 94th ranked scorer ever."
Then why doesn't he "consistently" produce in a manner while on the floor, that warrants a "legitimate", higher ranking?
blackadam06 2 years ago
Are you seriously suggesting that Kobe is not a top 10 scorer in the NBA all time? I'd like you to name me 10 better.
Stats aren't everything. Some stats are a lot more meaningful than others. Some times you have to trust your eyes.
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
"I'd like you to name me 10 better"
1) Alex English - 1st player to have 8 "straight" 2000+ pt seasons
2) A.I. He's - #3 All time in ppg & has 3 Scoring Titles
3) Wilt Chamberlain - need I say anymore?;
4) George Gervin, he's got 4 scoring titles LOL!!
5) Kareem A. Jabbar - U betta ask somebody..
blackadam06 2 years ago
(con't)
6) Karl Malone - look at where he "consistently" finished yr after yr in ppg & where he ranks ALL TIME in pts scored
7) J. West Playoff avg: 29ppg on 47% FG%
8) E. Baylor Playoff avg: 27ppg on 46% FG%
9) O. Robertson Playoff avg: 26ppg on 48% FG%
10) B. McAdoo he has 3 Scoring Titles..
U see, those guys have the either the All Time ppg avg's, offensive ranking or scoring titles that JUSTIFIES their place amongst the All time Scorers.
Where's kobe's?..
blackadam06 2 years ago
O.K. let's take AI and Malone since those are 2 players that played recently
Take those 2 players and Kobe. Who would you rather have with the ball in the hands, game on the line?
And as a side note, AI has got to be the most overrated player ever. Very simple way of looking at this. Look how much better Denver got after replacing AI (reputation: First Ballot Hall of Famer) with Chauncey Billups (reputation: solid NBA point guard).
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
"Who would you rather have with the ball in the hands, game on the line?"
Now that's a TOTALLY different subject matter. Who's more clutch is different from who's "consistently" a better scorer. Obviously the answer is kobe..
And regarding A.I., he's 3rd All Time in ppg, & I correct myself from my last comment, he has 4 not 3, Scoring Titles & other than MJ, is the ONLY player to have EVER won the Scoring & Steals Titles & MVP in the SAME season.
U can't do that & be "overrated"..
blackadam06 2 years ago
Yeah but the scoring titles don't mean anything in terms of helping a team win a championship. A player like Allen Iverson could never win a championship for a team in which he is/was a significant contributor. What team currently would AI be a good fit on?
Billups, meanwhile, good fit on Denver. A lot of players who are considered inferior to AI would be a good fit for a championship contender.
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
"Yeah but the scoring titles don't mean anything in terms of helping a team win a championship."
That wasn't your "original" premise. We were talkin' about specific playe's scoring prowess.
blackadam06 2 years ago
yeah i know. i said on a side note, AI is the most overrated player. I wasn't using that to back up my original premise. I was referring to AI's scoring titles specifically not meaning much. His scoring titles give him a lot of praise, praise that I think is undeserved. Thus, making him overrated.
I'm worn out with the Kobe-Jordan argument. You bring up good stats to back up your point but I still never got an answer to the question about the stat comparison I mentioned.
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
WHAT??
U guys kill me with that..do posters like yourself just randomely dismiss the OBVIOUS in some attempt to level the playing field for your guy? That's what it looks like to me.
If we're having a discussion about "scoring", HOW can U claim that "scoring titles" don't mean much? What is that?!!
How can claim the that "praise" he gets from this is undeserved? Why because kobe doesn't have 'em? Only 2 other players in HISTORY have MORE scoring titles than him!
blackadam06 2 years ago
U kobe homers are the REAL haters.
Only y'all..
blackadam06 2 years ago 2
What the fuck are you talking about? I wasn't even talking about Kobe.
I guess I have to spell it out for you. I said on a SIDE NOTE (meaning something totally independent of the discussion of who are the 10 greatest scorers of all time), AI is the most overrated PLAYER (not scorer) of all time.
That has nothing and I mean nothing to do with Kobe fucking Bryant. Damn!
dwoodall8979 2 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Stop argueing with the guy, your an obvious Kobe hater. AI is completly overrated. Get over it. Kobe is easily one of the top 10 players to ever play the game. AI prolly doesn't even touch top 50 of all time. End of Story.
indridcoldx 2 years ago
Man STFU!
Shut up with that stupid shit!
blackadam06 2 years ago
You are a Kobe hater. Kobe is only 30 years old and has 12 healthy seasons under his belt, 11 All-star game appearances and 2 scoring titles, and the stat that really counts, 4 rings ...Iverson isn't a team player and will never win a championship...so sorry
indridcoldx 2 years ago
Like I said, STFU!
