I also wonder if this is why the Johnson administration never bombed Hanoi or went into China, Laos or Cambodia "officially." I'm sure the CIA led missions into those countries and they were definately in Laos.

To hell with learning from the past when there's money to be made. Iraq and Vietnam-two wars started and dragged out for the purpose of feeding the military industrial complex.
I think it's like this, we need to get out of Iraq as soon as possible. Now, I do believe that if we left now the country wouldn't be stable enough to be on it's own, but I wouldn't be surprised if these people in control are prolonging the war just for money. Just look at all the billions of dollars that companies like Haliburton and KBR are making. THATS sick.
What I am afraid of is we live in a corrupt voting system and even if I want him to win (which I very badly do) that it won't matter.. i've already seen a president get into office illegally.. and I am afraid if he does win, he may be assasinated like all the other good presidents.
I happen to disagree with how Johnson is protrayed. JOhnson had Kennedy's cabinet to thank for his coericion into Vietnam, read McNamara's biography. Lyndon unlike Bush recognized the mistake in Vietnam and by the end of his term he began pull-outs, not only that he went as far as almost resigning but was stopped by the Democratic party. Instead he did not seek re-election. Give him credit for that at least.
Extremely good points. The purpose of the video, however,is not to vilify either Bush or Johnson but to show how the foreign policy and it's justification spin has been/is almost identical. I am sure that the talking points by both Bush and Johnson are not their own but are from the globalist,multi-generational war mongering foreign policy cultsters like Averell Harriman and the Bundy brothers in Johnson's day and the whole neo-con Cheney led team of today (which was constructed by GHWBush).

We've been trading with Vietnam for quite some time after the war. That's coz they're our Family's homeslice. And Iraq will be too.
Why have those accused in videos like this not sued if the charges are false? By the makers of "conspiracy videos" proving their charges are true in a legal setting, with no prior criminal investigation, the guilty would not be safe from double jeopardy after losing the biggest civil suit in American history. Public opinion would easily lead to the opening of a criminal trial. Do you suppose that's why government officials have never sued over any of these dozens of films? RON PAUL IN '08!
A surplus created by Mr. Clinton, a democrat, and a bright peaceful future...biggest lost chance!
An idiot with wealth and power has plunged us into a neverending war with an enemy manufactured by the zealots who seized the white house in 2000, yes seized. At least LBJ knew when to step down!
The only surplus clinton had was cocaine. lbj quit because he couldn't stand himself after the killing of JFK. Dem or rep, same team, same crap.. W is winning for himself and his cronies, not you or me. WAKE UP!! RON PAUL or we are doomed!!!
That is the first time anybody on youtube ever expressed exactly the same opinion as my own about America's political landscape. The last link on this video's description is to a book by a Stanford Economist and Researcher named Antony Sutton whose research led him to the same opinion.
Dude.. The New World Order is not something to be missed. It has been coming for over 75 years.. Don't know how you missed hearing about their plans for a one world govt. and one world religion.
yeah, every generation is a brand new audience for the same old script. create the enemy, grow the enemy (finance and supply them),piss off the enemy (threaten them with words and by setting up bases on their turf), let them attack, and then profiteer and expand military bases/control via the manufactured conflict.
I remember enlisting in the Marines during Nam, under a leader that was every bit the chickenhawk this one is. Amazing connections and right wing "coincidences" between two Texas gangsta's from "opposing" parties.
Well, I can. LBJ/Billy sol Estes. Do the homework. LBJ/"We will win this war. We are winning this war..." Weeks later, Tet offensive no stopping the Ho Chi Minh trail. That was a jungle. Today in cities the resistance grows stronger and we turn out to be total bullshit. People in the streets all "terrorists"???? Dream on with the latest Big bad Texan.
ODELLEOS, i think we have an epidemic on our hands. the desease, ignorance. the cure, none, the only way that people can come out of this idiotic coma is if they do it themselves. you people say you don't want to fall for the government's 'propaganda' but you openly accept similar statements made by our enemies. damn hypocrits.
juran, do not try to pull that one on me, it's a cheap way to cover your tracks, if someone asks you about it, deny you were ever refering to it, if no one does, you try to say that you won the arguement. kinda like the auto shotgun in rainbow 6 vegas, easy to use and you can't do crap about it.
You said, "how many is too many when you deal with extremists who all they want to do is kill you? how many is too many is too many to save future generations from being annihalated by these religious facists?"
This was presumably referring to my comment "That's a lot different from complaining that the war was pointless, unjust, killing too many soldiers, or that it's already too expensive and should be terminated early."
I never asserted or rejected the claim that too many soldiers have been killed (in any circumstance). I was talking about a *hypothetical* comment that SOMEONE ELSE might or might not have hypothetically made.
Furthermore, I was talking about making that comment with regard to World War II, whereas you seem to be talking about the current war in Iraq.
You demonstrate a solid misunderstanding of what I actually said.
Finally, I noticed that you posted a new comment instead of replying to mine, so I didn't get a reply notification email -- I just happened to refresh the page. I can only imagine you wished it to appear that I had forfeited the argument by default.
I was going to ask you not to reply to my comments in the future, but it looks like your account has been closed, so that wish has already been granted.
It's just a way of saying their own words reveal the predictability of their war perpetuation justification; it's like a recipe handed down from one expansionary foreign policy regime to the next one. What's more disturbing is the recipe they use for creating, financing and supporting a global boogeyman enemy.
The most ridiculous and obvious aspect of this "global war on terror" is the fact we are not firebombing the Afghan opium fields which everyone agrees provides the vast majority of "terrorist funding" for BOTH Taliban and al-Queda. Imo it supports the view that factions of our government WANT a well-funded enemy so the conflict can continue and expand.
Remember back in the day when Johnson gave a speech to Congress about all those American boys floating in the ocean after the terrorist attack in the GULF OF TONKIN?
Boy... those were the days. Defense contractors made out pretty good on that one.
caled2care, I did learn one thing if any from veitnam and i wasn't even alive then, it's that you don't mix politics and war. it seems that any war that takes more than two years the public starts having a shit fit, followed by politics felling the "pressure" from the public. my question to you is, how the hell is our government supposed to protect us if they're so damn afraid of their own shadow?
That's a lot different from complaining that the war was pointless, unjust, killing too many soldiers, or that it's already too expensive and should be terminated early.
My point is that your statement about the public invariably getting uncomfortable with a war and trying to end it doesn't hold.
i'm sorry i must have missed this whole thing, but how many is too many when you deal with extremists who all they want to do is kill you? how many is too many is too many to save future generations from being annihalated by these religious facists? how many juran? how many?
Huh?? Shrooms, you seem to be reacting to an argument I haven't made. I assume you're referring to the war in Iraq, and so far I haven't stated even the slightest opinion on that in this thread.
In any case, you're not going to solve any problems by being hysterical.
Our goverment shouldn't be afraid of they're own shadow. My question to you is= since when did the Iraqi goverment threaten us?? Where pray tell are the so called' Weapons of Mass Destruction?' Afganistan needed to be bombed because of the role they played in Sept 11th, but why are we over in Iraq? Why don't we bomb our allies the Saudis since most of the hijackers came from there?
really, puppets? i'm sorry i must have fallen off the train here, but does anyone remember back in 1998-99 when Bill Clinton and almost all of europe agreed that Saddam Housien had access to nuclear weapons? just curious because now everyone is screaming about no WMD's and we founs 5 tons i think it was of uranium along with an arse load of missle and rockets to deliver them? just wondering if anyone remembered or if you all got this epidemic of ADD?
Talking about ADD, nobody talks at all about Bush Sr.'s crowd's involvement in creating, financing, supplying (and then pissing off) Bin Laden's jihadists. To me it's the same recipe Prescott's team used with Hitler; create a monster and then benefit financially and geopolitically from the subsequent conflict.
Yes, mushrooms, Clinton used Iraq and WMD's to distract the public from the Lewinsky scandal, in the same way that Bush used Iraq to distract the public from the bad economy, Bin Laden not being captured and the fact that he is an idiot who hasn't done a single good thing for this country since he took office.
I wonder if the majority of the American people learned anything from Vietnam & if so what? Perhaps you could do a survey of Vietnam vets, spouses, family, friends, ect & [all those who were around at that time] & pose that question. I wonder what the response would be?
I think it's simply that every generation gets sucked in by the same basic formula; creat a boogeyman, finance and supply the boogeyman to the point where it is powerful enough to declare it a global threat, then use that exagerated threat as justification for starting/amplifying wars and other military conflict useful for an expansion of the Boners' classist hegelian form of predatorial commercialism.
Yes, unfortunately you're right. I actually voted for Bush the first time around.[to my shame]It took Micheal Moores movie, Farenheight 9/11 to wake me up. It's horrifying to think of all the human blood being spilt so we can build a gasline though that region. I hate that my own emotions after Sept 11th were used against me & I can only pray we get this person out of the White House asap. ThankYou for the posting. We need more of it. Never get tired of telling the Truth.
I guess U-tube is not down with freedom.

W is a huge loser for the world.
Jazzspace38 4 years ago
The only surplus clinton had was cocaine. lbj quit because he couldn't stand himself after the killing of JFK. Dem or rep, same team, same crap.. W is winning for himself and his cronies, not you or me. WAKE UP!! RON PAUL or we are doomed!!!

funny; I just noticed kleercut's comment 2 above (relating to the issue) and how it could also relate to this music.

Don't kid urself about winning the war. This war is lost a long time ago.

ODELLEOS, i think we have an epidemic on our hands. the desease, ignorance. the cure, none, the only way that people can come out of this idiotic coma is if they do it themselves. you people say you don't want to fall for the government's 'propaganda' but you openly accept similar statements made by our enemies. damn hypocrits.
youtookmyshrooms 4 years ago
juran, do not try to pull that one on me, it's a cheap way to cover your tracks, if someone asks you about it, deny you were ever refering to it, if no one does, you try to say that you won the arguement. kinda like the auto shotgun in rainbow 6 vegas, easy to use and you can't do crap about it.
youtookmyshrooms 4 years ago
Okay, fine.
(continued)
jjuran 4 years ago
I never asserted or rejected the claim that too many soldiers have been killed (in any circumstance). I was talking about a *hypothetical* comment that SOMEONE ELSE might or might not have hypothetically made.
Furthermore, I was talking about making that comment with regard to World War II, whereas you seem to be talking about the current war in Iraq.
You demonstrate a solid misunderstanding of what I actually said.
(continued)
jjuran 4 years ago
Finally, I noticed that you posted a new comment instead of replying to mine, so I didn't get a reply notification email -- I just happened to refresh the page. I can only imagine you wished it to appear that I had forfeited the argument by default.
jjuran 4 years ago
I was going to ask you not to reply to my comments in the future, but it looks like your account has been closed, so that wish has already been granted.
I guess I win by default. :-)
jjuran 4 years ago
By the way, what exactly was "CAUGHT ON TAPE" here? Did you sneak in with a camera and secretly record these publicly televised speeches?
jjuran 4 years ago
It's just a way of saying their own words reveal the predictability of their war perpetuation justification; it's like a recipe handed down from one expansionary foreign policy regime to the next one. What's more disturbing is the recipe they use for creating, financing and supporting a global boogeyman enemy.
neutralizerxx 4 years ago
The most ridiculous and obvious aspect of this "global war on terror" is the fact we are not firebombing the Afghan opium fields which everyone agrees provides the vast majority of "terrorist funding" for BOTH Taliban and al-Queda. Imo it supports the view that factions of our government WANT a well-funded enemy so the conflict can continue and expand.

Remember back in the day when Johnson gave a speech to Congress about all those American boys floating in the ocean after the terrorist attack in the GULF OF TONKIN?
Boy... those were the days. Defense contractors made out pretty good on that one.

caled2care 4 years ago
caled2care, I did learn one thing if any from veitnam and i wasn't even alive then, it's that you don't mix politics and war. it seems that any war that takes more than two years the public starts having a shit fit, followed by politics felling the "pressure" from the public. my question to you is, how the hell is our government supposed to protect us if they're so damn afraid of their own shadow?
youtookmyshrooms 4 years ago
Shrooms, please document one incident of the public of any Allied nation having a 'shit fit' about World War II.
jjuran 4 years ago
just after WW2 both in france and GB had a pretty big shit fit about being in dept for buying war supplies from us.
youtookmyshrooms 4 years ago
That's a lot different from complaining that the war was pointless, unjust, killing too many soldiers, or that it's already too expensive and should be terminated early.
My point is that your statement about the public invariably getting uncomfortable with a war and trying to end it doesn't hold.
jjuran 4 years ago
i'm sorry i must have missed this whole thing, but how many is too many when you deal with extremists who all they want to do is kill you? how many is too many is too many to save future generations from being annihalated by these religious facists? how many juran? how many?
youtookmyshrooms 4 years ago
Huh?? Shrooms, you seem to be reacting to an argument I haven't made. I assume you're referring to the war in Iraq, and so far I haven't stated even the slightest opinion on that in this thread.
In any case, you're not going to solve any problems by being hysterical.
jjuran 4 years ago
Our goverment shouldn't be afraid of they're own shadow. My question to you is= since when did the Iraqi goverment threaten us?? Where pray tell are the so called' Weapons of Mass Destruction?' Afganistan needed to be bombed because of the role they played in Sept 11th, but why are we over in Iraq? Why don't we bomb our allies the Saudis since most of the hijackers came from there?
caled2care 4 years ago
really, puppets? i'm sorry i must have fallen off the train here, but does anyone remember back in 1998-99 when Bill Clinton and almost all of europe agreed that Saddam Housien had access to nuclear weapons? just curious because now everyone is screaming about no WMD's and we founs 5 tons i think it was of uranium along with an arse load of missle and rockets to deliver them? just wondering if anyone remembered or if you all got this epidemic of ADD?
youtookmyshrooms 4 years ago
Talking about ADD, nobody talks at all about Bush Sr.'s crowd's involvement in creating, financing, supplying (and then pissing off) Bin Laden's jihadists. To me it's the same recipe Prescott's team used with Hitler; create a monster and then benefit financially and geopolitically from the subsequent conflict.
neutralizerxx 4 years ago
Yes, mushrooms, Clinton used Iraq and WMD's to distract the public from the Lewinsky scandal, in the same way that Bush used Iraq to distract the public from the bad economy, Bin Laden not being captured and the fact that he is an idiot who hasn't done a single good thing for this country since he took office.
Scotty7617 4 years ago
I wonder if the majority of the American people learned anything from Vietnam & if so what? Perhaps you could do a survey of Vietnam vets, spouses, family, friends, ect & [all those who were around at that time] & pose that question. I wonder what the response would be?
caled2care 4 years ago
I think it's simply that every generation gets sucked in by the same basic formula; creat a boogeyman, finance and supply the boogeyman to the point where it is powerful enough to declare it a global threat, then use that exagerated threat as justification for starting/amplifying wars and other military conflict useful for an expansion of the Boners' classist hegelian form of predatorial commercialism.
neutralizerxx 4 years ago
Yes, unfortunately you're right. I actually voted for Bush the first time around.[to my shame]It took Micheal Moores movie, Farenheight 9/11 to wake me up. It's horrifying to think of all the human blood being spilt so we can build a gasline though that region. I hate that my own emotions after Sept 11th were used against me & I can only pray we get this person out of the White House asap. ThankYou for the posting. We need more of it. Never get tired of telling the Truth.
