How is it that projects of such importance rally so little support financially.

$10billion possibly $20billion for fusion based electrical generation...Really?..If thats the case then Australia has opted for a high speed broadband network(Price tag:$37billion+) over fusion technology...I do understand what would happen to other industries/interests if fusion was reality but surely its for the greater good..

If by "black hole generator" you're referring to something like a Hawking Knot, then the mass of the black hole could be "tuned" such that it emits matter/anti-matter particle pairs. Then you just have to solve the problem of collecting the anti-matter, storing it, and getting useful energy out of it later. No biggie :P
