I first saw this movie when I was 13; and the part when she rolls her panties down at 2:17 would always cause me to have a massive boner, and it still does. lol I guess I've always fantasized about smelling those panties.

Une scène extrèmement forte et dense en émotions,ou la tragédie sublime de deux êtres qui ne peuvent vivre l'un sans l'autre malgré les conventions.Fanny ardant ou mathilde est folle d'amour et attend que Bernard se donne a lui,donne sa vie dans une ultime étreinte."j'attends"tous deux s'attendaient!!Magnifique scéne de film meme si tragique,l'amour dévorant et consumant.

Un des films qui m'ont le plus marqué. Comme le précédent commentaire, j'avais aussi 13 14 ans quand j'ai vu ce film pour la première fois.

I love the fact that she shoots him and herself and how the "narrator" says that the sad part it's that they won't be burried together

In French the sentence is not silly ("je craigne que..).

But what is really interesting is the last sentence:: "Ni avec toi, ni sans toi" ("Neither with you, nor without you").

The ones who have loved someone in an impossible situation, will understand.
