Gran Torino is about the children of a Hmong people that fought communism for promises unkept by the US. After abandoning them, decades later we have finally taken steps in giving them sanctuary here only to allow their kids to succumb to an arguably worse fate on the ghetto streets that are filled with gang violence. Shame on you Clint Eastwood for shedding some light.
