For the phone, you shouldn't need software to recognize the words. The source-filter model of speech synthesis is able to generate sounds based on the motion of the vocal cords without recognizing that sound's meaning. The formant wouldn't be as clear, but it would be good enough to recognize, and the process would be faster, more reliable, and less computationally intensive.

It is sensing the electrical signals in the vocal-chord nerves, which are nerve-cells. You use the same nerve cells, and fire the same neurons whn you think to yourself as when you speak aloud. If someone surrepititionsly and unknown to you injected an RF-chip with vocal-chord nerve sensing ability in your neck, anyone with a reciever could read your conscious thoughts. 'Mind-reading' it is.

Fine. Instead of developing and getting grants to develop this technology, we should instead invest in education courses that enable people to activate their natural telepathy that we have lost over the millenia because of the development of LANGUAGE. I've have lots of procognitive experiences on a regular basis. Its a bi-product of practicing psychokinesis. Interestingly there is a curious issue involving the relationship between psychokinesis and procognition. As it is often difficult to tell (with regards to the future) if you are manifesting intent or percieving potential possibilites or a combination. For the phone, you shouldn't need software to recognize the words. The source-filter model of speech synthesis is able to generate sounds based on the motion of the vocal cords without recognizing that sound's meaning. The formant wouldn't be as clear, but it would be good enough to recognize, and the process would be faster, more reliable, and less computationally intensive.
