It reminds you of SF because CAPCOM really loves HNK. Most SF stuff is based off HNK. Look at Club and Vega. Using a claws in a cage fight. Chun-li's kicks are clearly Ken's move he used on Mr.Heart. And Akuma's teleportation. Its clearly Musou Tensei.

Awesome, I hope we get the Movie on DVD in europe someday, it's only available as VHS here. At least we got New Fist of the North Star and the new movies and OVA's (the 3rd one gets released monday, the last 2 are coming in january and february).
