africa is a continent not a country. you do know there are like 50 other countries you can visit. i just got back from zambia which was pretty damn amazing.
this movie is a total waist of time. it is relistic but it doesnot have to be. good song on the geto blaster-leyendecker dj emz and the last song is master peace - strange fruit - Nina Simone. bye ;)
at the end of the movie ...there is a song played at the end ,while the credits are rolling ...can anyone tell me the name of the song and the artist who performed it....thank you in advance...
I am more than a little suspicious of intellectuals like Emmanuel Dongala (the author of the novel that this movie is adapted from) who depict the atrocities in NEO-colonial Africa without multidimensional critique of the European NEO-colonialism that perpetuates these conditions such as poverty, mis-education (imposition of European languages) and Western (White male) multi-national corporate greed (Shell Chevron...) just to name a few.

Shut the fuck up you idiotic filth-drinking worm, stop spouting your delusive, prevaricative propaganda, oh idol of corruption and depravity. It is with the BLACK AND ARAB race that the source of the world's destitution, criminality, and sin lies, FALL WITNESS to the truth exposed here before you.
I'm glad that you posted here Gormaoul, you are proof that the pathological hatred that white men have for Black people and Africa is alive and well in the 21st century. You are are product of the same irrational fear, ignorance, envy and greed created by your European post-enlightenment ancestors that led to the Berlin Conference and the ongoing theft that is European Neo-colonialism.
This is one of the most disturbing and upsetting films I have ever seen. It doesn't make the violence cool or sexy despite some of the young characters in it perhaps sometimes thinking it is. It shows the horror of war, and the horror of child soldiers, of innocence lost. The film stays with you leaving you depressed and outraged that human beings are still committing such inhumanities on each other and that so many stand by and allow such atrocities to occur. This film hurts and rightly so.
This is a GREAT film....i'd even say it's one of the best movies i've ever seen because it just seems so genuine you almost feel like you're along for the ride with the group of rebels. However, it is very disturbing and some ppl won't be able to handle it....it forces ppl to realize no matter how bad your life is there's always ppl out there livin 100000000000000000X worse than you. This film really makes you appreciate freedom and democracy.
