  • this engine whines more than the misses.

  • Takže : dokud TID jede, je to perfektní motor, nežere, má krásný chod - jakákoliv Audi nemá šanci, pěkně jede..Jenže nastane chvíle, kdy udělá ahoj..Buď odejde čerpadlo nebo turbo, když ne to tak zamávají vložky válců což se stalo i mě....Takže jedním slovem : NEBRAT !

  • Order! Having just renewed the flywheel etc in mine I can tell you this: 2004 and later engines were improved thus oil level mis-reading won't affect cylinder liners. Bottom end bearings improved so that they don't spin if the flywheel fails saving you a trashed block. These 6DE1 or Y30DT lumps and pumps prefer ESSO! Redline 85plus is the best additive if that floats yer boat. V configuration means this engine sings in a way straight 6s don't - it aint loud, it purrs and I LOVE IT!

  • @TimberCutterDartmoor

The cylinder liner problem was never fixed, not even by Opel and the Y30DT, which was on sale till 9/2005. That thing takes 7.25L of oil...The Y30DT was replaced by the Z30DT and that has no reported liner failure so far.

I found out it really runs better on ESSO, unfortunately I refuelled at Texaco in the UK so couldn't enjoy your best fuel. At least I filled her up with ESSO in Belgium and Italy twice. Glad you're loving your Saab! And make some new videos! It's the law!

  • isuzu engine knows for its problems ....

  • Sounds like a truck, but a good sounding diesel truck.

  • Because most truck diesels are 6 cylinder, thats why it sounds similar :)

  • haha. Yeah.

  • Too bad that these diesels (build by Isuzu), are not so reliable. Many get way to soon Turbo and fuelpump problems. But they do sound nice. ;-)

  • @maikelbagerman What absolute rubbish. They are extremely reliable from ISUZU. They are used in many GM cars. The turbo and fuel pump is NOT made by Isuzu, so check facts before posting. Stop repeating what you think you heard others say without knowing what it means. Learn how engines work, get some experience of repairing them and come back in 30 years. You are showing the world you know very little about engines and cars in general!

  • @urbex2007 Try to read what I really wrote and then come back. Ohw and check your temperature, its a bit high! ;-)

  • @urbex2007 The 3.0 6DE1 V6 really is known for bad fuel pumps and turbos, although the latter don't exactly blow up but rather just jam and create over/underboost conditions. I know from my experience and others...for more info on that I'm available on PM's.

  • I like the big logo on the engine.

  • Thats the engine i got in my boat!

    Great engine.

  • Congratulations! Great project!

I looked at your videos. Sounds amazing!

  • now this sounds great! not some crappy gasoline engine :) and yes, very very quiet car on the inside - great ride !

  • It's a pitty these engines fail sooner or later...other than that the 9-5 is a wonderful car :)

  • very loud!

  • it's quiet on the inside :)
