Is this type of loping bred into a horse or can you train a quarter horse to slow trot and slow lope like this?

I love the horse, but i really do not find the 4 beat lope appeasing. I will admit i don't have much experience or knowledge about showing...but i have grown up with horses my entire life and know a good horse when i see one. He is Beautiful!

u have serious problems. do u no what an honor it is to reach a superior title in any given discipline?? first of all that bit is not harsh, the horse carries it well and there is slack in the reins. second that horse is moving in a very natural cadence and is balanced and comfortable with its rate. and third that horses head is not low, it is above even with the withers therefore this is the ideal western performance horse, get ur facts rite, yes dressage is a beautiful sport but so is this

Actually, the bit they have in his mouth right now is a grazing bit, with a smooth bar. It is not that harsh, less so that a lot of snaffles. For what point does he need a caveson? They are for horses that open their mouth a lot.

o and it is against the apha rule book to ride a horse older than 5 years old with a snaffle and cavasons are illegal for any western event

hes supposed to have a bit like that in, a shank, see western pleasure is different, type of bit is based on age, maybe this horse is over 5 to were he needs a shank??? and ya know, i got a bit that looks very similar to that, but the bit itself is a low port, not harsh..its that design that make a bit look complicated

this is a true wp horse! wonderfully built body, thin neck, gorgeous head. this is what we breed. this type of horse is the real deal. not the type of WP horse they have now.
